Abu Simbel Temple

The flight from Aswan to the small town of Abu Simbel takes only around 30 minutes. Your Egyptologist guide will meet you at the airport and accompany you to the famous temples of Ramses II and his favorite wife Nefertari. On the short walk to the temple entrances, your guide will explain the history of the site, including details of the UNESCO-led relocation of the entire cliff face to higher ground, and how the temples were discovered by accident in 1813. Due to the large number of visitors to Abu Simbel, guides are not permitted inside either the Great Temple of Ramses II or the smaller Temple of Hathor. However, by using photos and illustrations, your guide will explain to you the structures and their interior artworks. You will then have free time to enter the temples and explore them at your leisure. As one of the few ancient Egyptian sites which largely escaped damage by past invaders, the interiors of Abu Simbel's temples are astounding.

This flight trip to Abu Simbel Temples was absolutely fantastic. The entire excursion was organized with great care, and everything ran smoothly from the departure until the return. The flight was comfortable and saved us a lot of time. The staff were helpful, professional, and always ready to assist the group. Once we arrived at the temples, we were amazed by the monumental statues of Ramesses II guarding the entrance. The beauty and grandeur of the temple are truly impressive, and the historical carvings inside tell incredible stories from ancient Egypt.

The team arranged everything perfectly, and the staff were friendly and supportive throughout the journey. The flight was comfortable and gave us the chance to reach the temples quickly. When we arrived, the view of the giant statues of Ramesses II was simply incredible. The temples are truly magnificent and full of fascinating historical details. Walking through the halls and seeing the ancient artwork carved in stone was a wonderful experience that we will never forget.

Taking a flight to visit Abu Simbel Temples was one of the highlights of our trip. The organization of the tour was excellent and everything was arranged very professionally. The flight itself was comfortable and well timed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were very cooperative and made sure everyone was relaxed and ready for the visit. Seeing the massive statues of Ramesses II at the entrance of the temple was truly breathtaking. Inside the temple we admired the ancient carvings and scenes that tell the story of the great pharaoh. It was an unforgettable historical experience.

My favorite part of my experience was the guide Mohamed. He was very informative with all the information as well as very patient with me and my wife. My wife is still learning English and I was translating all throughout the tour to her and Mohamed was so kind and patient with us. Also the driver Mohamed was great as well. He drove for a long four hours to Abu Simbel and back, The entire trip was great. Roxana Travel did a great job with hiring those 2 and booking us with them . Will definitely book them again!
