Take a small-group guided dolphin kayak tour along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at sunset to combine gorgeous visuals with epic dolphin experiences. Little or no experience is necessary to use our sturdy sit-on-top kayaks to explore the coastal waters of Virginia Beach and get closer to wild dolphins than you have ever been before. Guides will help you launch and navigate along the coast for 2-hrs while you relax and enjoy a magnificent view of the sun setting over the Bay.

First Landing State Park
Meet your guides on the beach at the Main Entrance to First Landing State Park ready for one of Virginia Beach's most unique experiences. After a short briefing on safety and kayak operation, your guides will help launch you and your kayak into the Chesapeake Bay where you will enjoy the thrill of kayaking with Atlantic Bottle nose Dolphins off the Shoreline of Virginia Beach while also witnessing a magnificent sunset.
Cape Henry Lighthouse
Since 1996, We have been offering guided kayak dolphin watching trips to see these amazing creatures during their summer migration off the coast of Virginia. The Sunset Tour combines dolphin watching with a sightseeing tour of landmarks such as The Cape Henry Lighthouses and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. On our Sunset Dolphin Kayak Tour you will likely see dolphins and numerous birds as we paddle along historic Cape Henry in Virginia Beach. Along the way you will also see local landmarks such as the Cape Henry Lighthouses and Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel get lit up by the evening sun as it sinks beyond the horizon of the Bay.

5.00Brayden and Caden were awesome guides. Great personalities, very knowledgable about the area and wildlife. We saw lots of dolphins, what a great experience!!! They also sent us pictures they took while we were out there. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour for visitors and locals alike. Quick and easy parking at the campground just made it all the better.

5.00This was our third tour and it was the best one yet. With the exception of a 10 minute stretch, we saw dolphins for two hours straight! Sam and Jay were great guides supplying lots of knowledge about local geography and nature. Highly recommend!

5.00Rhett was AMAZING. We weren’t able to see any dolphins and the waves were super strong but he still made sure we enjoyed ourselves and he accommodated us very well. It felt like we were on a trip with friends the way the conversations js carried out! Thank you for this trip🤗

5.00We had a great experience from the first call in to ask a question to the departure. There were three team members who were all made for providing a top flight time that was much appreciated. They organized us, trained us, entertained us, informed us, catered to us and handled my difficult partner’s :) inquiries, paranoia, et. al. effortlessly. I highly recommend this tour. We did see dolphins and majestic birds. But even if we didn’t, it was a beautiful sunset trip. Effort on the way out but a breeze back in.

5.00Our tour guides were Jay, Jake, and Brayden, they were very friendly and provided safety information and tips before we went out. Even though dolphins aren’t guaranteed we did see a pod and it was awesome! While kayaking the guides were giving us facts about the area and pointing out wildlife and telling us about them to keep us engaged and make the tour interesting. I felt like my family and I were in good hands, we felt safe on the water, and enjoyed the tour very much. Would highly recommend!
