• Amazing sites but a bus experience that left room for improvement

  The sights we saw throughout the day were breathtaking, each one so different than the others. Getting to see wildlife, stand next to a powerful waterfall, walk on a glacier, view the scenery from a glass-bottom skywalk, and visit some of the most gorgeous lakes on the planet all in one day was simply amazing. And the fact that this was combined with transferring us between Jasper and Lake Louise made it remarkably convenient! Our guide on the bus was fine. But since our bus did not have a functional microphone, the guide’s ability to communicate with the participants was significantly limited. He talked quite a bit less than other guides might have done in the same situation, and really only dialogued with the few passengers sitting closest to the front. We learned from friends who took the identical tour at the same time as us (just on a different bus, starting from a different Jasper hotel) that there were some differences in our experiences that created missed opportunities for us. For example, our bus was given boxed lunches to eat in the parking lot of the glacier center, whereas another bus found picnic tables at a scenic stop. Little things like this tell us that, as good as our tour was, there was room for it to be even better still - and that something as simple as whether a bus has a functioning microphone can impact the whole experience.

  We took the 8 hour tour from Jasper to Lake Louise including the Athabaskan Glacier and the Sky Walk. It was fantastic. Our Guide, Sean, was amazing. He provided detailed information in a fun way through the entire day. The scenery was amazing but the narration made the day go by fast. We learned a ton. Kudos to Sean…. Right On!

  We had to confirm pick up 24 hours before the tour so we approached Sundog office in Jasper, Yuri was great, able to sort out our booking (it had been booked through a third party & was complicated) Norm was our coach driver - really knowledgeable about the drive to Lake Louise and had great stories to tell regarding the area. He stopped at some great views points so we were able to get great photos of mountains & glaciers.

  Booked a one way trip from Jasper to Lake Louise and we had a truly memorable experience , the whole team at Sundog offered an exceptional level of service . Special mention must go to our driver Sean who managed to make a long trip fun and very informative , cannot say enough about how much he added to the magnificent scenery, a must for anyone wanting to travel from Jasper to Lake Louise

  Dave was awesome. Not always a fan of your bus banter but his was genuine. He had very interesting antidotes and a really solid knowledge of the geology and the wildlife. Also his personal experience with the recent jasper wildfire. Overall our group of 12 all really liked him. Funny and easy to get along with. Wish we had him on all our bus tours.

  Took the Sundog tour taking us from Jasper to Lake Louise. Our driver/guide was a nice fellow named Deter. He was excellent! He provided interesting commentary without rambling along just to talk. He provided detailed insight into each stop with very clear directions as to when and where to meet up. His driving was safe and conservative. Most importantly, he exhibited a wonderful personality punctuated with humor that made the entire trip entertaining and most pleasant. Would book another tour just to ride with him again!

  Dieter our driver for the day gave a detailed explanation of the history and sights along the way. Lunch in boxes was provided with a fantastic view of a glacier and mountains. We stopped at the Columbia Icefields and Skywalk before our destination at Lake Louise. Comfortable transport. Thank you Sundogs.

  Dieter made this trip so enjoyable with his humour and wit! He did such a kind thing and dropped us off last, so we could get to see Lake Louise. He took us to some amazing places and gave us lots of interesting facts. Really impressed

  This is a spectacular trip made all the better by our guide Dieter. He provided us with ample time to see the sites-waterfalls, mountains, glaciers, lakes and wildlife. He provided great information regarding the area's history and also facts about the recent devastating fire. We especially appreciated his dry wit that kept us entertained. The Canadian Rockies has some of the best scenery in the world and is a must see.
