Medicine Lake
You will take a drive along the Maligne Valley road, gorgeous scenic road that winds through a dramatic mountain and forest landscape. Medicine Lake is famous for ‘vanishing’ every summer, the result of an extensive underground karst system — one of the largest in the world. This is definitely worth a photo
Maligne Lake
From Medicine Lake you’ll follow the road to gorgeous Maligne Lake where you will join a scenic 90 minute boat cruise to Spirit Island. You will board a comfortable enclosed boat with large windows for a scenic tour on Maligne Lake. Your boat will stop at Spirit Island, a small gem in the lake, where you’ll have time for photos and a short stroll.

Great Jasper Tour for mobility issues

4.00This would be the perfect trip to explore Jasper if you have mobility issues. They stop at all the view points and show you the super short walk to the best views, as well as provide a lot of information. Our tour guide answered any questions we had and shared lots of valuable knowledge. If you’re looking for a more active sightseeing tour, I would suggest looking somewhere else. Some things I would have liked to know before hand: there are toilets (outhouses) available at every stop along the trip. Before the boat tour, they give you time to explore the lake house and use a fully functioning washroom. There is also an opportunity to grab snacks at the house before the trip. Be sure you have WhatsApp! They sent us messages via WhatsApp at 5 PM the night before, alerting us that our tour had a 2 hour delay, but since we don’t use WhatsApp, we never received the message. They did not call us until 8:35 AM, after the time we were supposed to be picked up. The boat was also running 20 minutes behind, so expect delays all around.

5.00I really enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Jeff, was very kind and knowledgeable! We visited lots of the spots early and stumbled across some wildlife! The boat cruise on the Maligne lake was breathtaking! Honestly, I wouldn’t mind doing it again!

5.00Unforgettable tour! 🌟 Our guide Jan was amazing—funny, exciting, and went out of his way to make it special. We saw a bull moose, a cow, and even a grizzly bear eating berries! The boat trip to Spirit Island was just as memorable thanks to the lively guide and captain. Only small note: no need to pack lunch, since restaurants are at Maligne Lake..

5.00We had a short stop at the top of Magline Valley and then at Medicine Lake for photos. Then we had a boat tour from Maligne Lake to Spirit Island. The tour guide was very informative and the boat ride was very pleasant. We had some time on the area around Spirit Island where the views are really beautiful
