Our all included tour is the best option to enjoy this beautiful volcano which travelers have rated it as the most beautiful volcano in all Central America, its beauty is due to the twin volcano Fuego which is active and performs an extraordinary eruption for all the travelers at our camping area on Acatenango.
Our company is located in front of the Fuego Volcano and if it is clear enough you will be able to see Pacaya and Agua volcanoes as well.
Each cabin has a pillow, – 6°C sleeping bag, extra blanket, a 5″ or 12cm comfortable mattress, under the matt all over the tent we have a waterproof carpet to isolate the cold from the bottom.
In our tourism project we work together with a cooperative of local guides CAT (Comité de Autogestión Turística) conformed by the people of the community San Jose Calderas, Chimaltenango.
Our cabins are shared by 2 or 4 people (the number of people per cabin depends on availability when the reservation is confirmed).

7:15 am - Breakfast at CA Travelers. We have 6 breakfast options so you are ready for the adventure. Please be on time to enjoy your breakfast with no rush.

8:00 am - Pick up at CA Travelers office. Our shuttle will pick you up from CA Travelers to the Supply Center.

8:15 am - Supply Center. At the supply center we will provide you everything that you need, we need to pack fast to continue to the entrance of the volcano. Here we have the storage room to leave your stuff behind.

9:30 am - Ride to the Acatenango Volcano. We have 45 minutes in the shuttle to the volcano

10:30 am - Start Hike. We take the before picture with the whole group, we introduce the guides and we are ready to go

1:30 pm - Lunch Time. After the first two hours, the group will stop for lunch. That way you have 45 minutes to recover your energy

4:00 pm - CA Travelers Campsite. Arriving to the campsite, the guides will pre pare Guatemalan hot chocolate (Real Kakao) as a reward for your effort and to enjoy the volcano.

7:00 pm - Dinner Time. Whenever you get hungry the guides will prepare the dinner for you. After dinner you can go to sleep or watch the volcano all night long

Acatenango
Top of the Volcano: Be ready to hike to the top of the volcano. It takes 1.5 hours to reach the top. Enjoy the sunrise. Breakfast time: When you return to the campsite, the guides will prepare the breakfast for you. Leaving the campsite: Pack your stuff and start coming down. It takes 2.5 hours. Entrance of the Volcano: We take the after picture and we get back to the shuttle.
Antigua
Ride to the supply center to drop off the equipment, the staff will be waiting for you with a delicious smoothie. Back to Antigua: Return to Antigua, you will be drop off at your hostel

5.00I broke my leg a few days before and they were so helpful in the process of needing to cancel my trip. They called and we talked about refund options. I will definitely come back someday to hike this volcano. I was still able to use their shuttle service to get from antigua to Guatemala City and that all went so seamlessly as well. They have a well organized organization.

5.00An excellent experience with CA travel. The staff was very professional and wonderfully friendly. The food was more than we even needed. They gave us breakfast lunch dinner, and even marshmallows if we want to roast them on the fire. I recommend going all the way to Fuego at night to see the lava. Leo A was so cheerful and ready to boost our spirits when the hike was getting pretty difficult. We needed his energy to get to the top haha. I would book them again.

5.00On Sunday i completed the overnight acetenango hike with CA travellers. It was one of the best experiences of my life! It was extremely well organised, the itinerary was very organised and detailed, the communication prior to the hike was excellent. The breakfast given before leaving to the supply centre was delicious, all of the equipment we were provided with was top quality. From our main guide with CA travellers, Toni to the local acetenango guides, everyone was absolutely fantastic, extremely professional and made everyone feel extremely safe and they ensured we had a fantastic time. The food provided in the lunches was delicious, and the cabins we were staying in exceeded expectations big time. I can’t thank CA travellers enough for giving me such an unforgettable experience.

5.00Had a great time on this tour. Does exactly what they say it does. Well fed to being with and throughout, which is important given it is a challenging hike. Our lead guide Toni was full of energy and great fun but also happy to chat with individuals - a great combination. The Camp was superbly located. To repeat, the reality matches the marketing which isn't always true.

5.00We had an amazing experience hiking Acatenango with CA Travelers and would highly recommend them. The food throughout the trek was excellent, with generous portions that kept us well fueled for the climb. They also provide drinking water, which is a huge plus. The cabins were comfortable, with cozy beds and pillows, and the sleeping bags were very warm, making the night at altitude much more enjoyable. One thing we especially appreciated was the option to hire porters (which we strongly recommend). CA Travelers works in a very ethical way: 100% of the money paid to the porters goes directly to them and their families, helping support the local community. The guides were fantastic—extremely kind, professional, encouraging, and always made us feel safe and confident during the hike. What truly sets CA Travelers apart is their commitment to the local communities. They work ethically with local people and support community development projects, including helping to develop schools and educational opportunities. 5.00Make no mistake, this is a challenging hike. If you find longer, uphill hikes difficult, maybe reconsider this experience. I will also say there are Porters available to help carry your bags to make it easier (we did not do this). If you can face the challenge, it is truly an unforgettable experience! Seeing Volcan de Fuego erupt was such an amazing thing to see in person. We chose to do the extra hike for about $35/pp and it was completely worth it. We had pouring rain and lightning as we were hiking up, it was still totally worth it and just made viewing the eruptions more dramatic! Once it cleared, we have multiple hours of eruptions that were so cool to watch. I would completely recommend this to anyone considering it!
