This German-speaking small group tour leads from the port in Akureyri to the Goðafoss waterfall and the volcanic lake Mývatn.
The tour starts along the fjord and overlooks the town of Akureyri via the Vikurskarð mountain pass to the beautiful Góðafoss waterfall.
From there, the journey continues across two plateaus to Lake Mývatn, where we make several stops. You will experience pseudo-craters, bizarre lava formations, boiling mud springs, craters and the warm-water-filled Gjrotagjá cave known from the Games of Thrones series.
The duration of the tour is about 8 hours; the departure times are adapted to the berth times of the cruise ships.

4.00We only did not stop at the blue Viti Lake with the power plant. Instead, we took a lunch break in a tiny village where there was only a gas station-sized supermarket and a fish and chips shop.
