Panna National Park is a tiger reserve. it is one of the most beautiful national parks in India. The diverse landscape offers savannah-like grasslands with exposed river banks and sparse forest areas, ideal conditions for observing one of the local tigers. The tigers in this area regularly have cubs. This increases the chance of seeing tigers in their natural environment. The rich animal and bird life, which includes not only tigers but also the rare leopard, monkeys, antelopes, reptiles, warthogs and many species of birds, make the visit a special experience. The safari through this intact natural landscape is beautiful and absolutely worth seeing.

The trip to Panna National Park starts from Khajuraho at around 5:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. in the afternoon (the park remains closed on Wednesday afternoon). We pick up and drop our guests from all hotels in Khajuraho. The drive to the park takes about half an hour. There we go on a three-hour safari in a jeep. Here you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Panna National Park. It is quiet and you can hear birds and nature. The park was founded in 1997 and is now one of the most important tiger reserves in India. The chances of seeing tigers are very good. The park is located on a river where the tigers often stay. The park features forested areas, open grasslands, clearly visible riverbanks and impressive gorges. In addition to tigers, warthogs, antelopes, deer, monkeys, many species of birds and reptiles and sometimes the extremely shy leopards can be observed. An English-speaking nature guide accompanies the tour in the park. An extraordinary experience and a nice contrast to the often chaotic Indian everyday life.

5.00I have visited Panna Nationsl Park a few times and it remains fascinating! The landscape is beautiful, especially with all the forest and the river that runs through it. And the plentiful wildlife is amazing. Of course, most people come for the tigers (me too), and the good news is that sightings are very frequent as the tigers head to the river to drink and rest. Every time I went I booked with Authentic India Experiences. Rajendra is a local guy and a fabulous guide. Everything runs super smooth, you can lean back and he‘ll organize everything. He will explain so much more about the area that he knows very well. His German is very good, and he speaks good English, too, it helps so much when you can ask him about things that you might not have understood from the compulsory park rangers. And you can practically ask him anything about the area and India - he knows it all. Add to this his charming personality, reliability and dedication to his work, and you are in for a lovely ride! I prefer the private jeep as I feel one sees more but the shared jeeps work well too.
