Tours with Coldwater Alaska are catered to our passengers, customized to what they would like to see. Our boats only carry up to six passengers which provides a great personal experience while enjoying their time on the water. Tours provide a unique combination of sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and scenery in the beautiful waters of Kachemak Bay, Alaska.

Take a 2-hour (or longer) trip out on the water, catered to whatever your interests might be. Go see humpback and orca whales, birds, sea otters, or just check out the landscape as you cruise into deeper bays that push up against mountains and waterfalls. You can even choose what time of day to go. Are you into photography? Tailer your trip, depart early morning or late evening to capture images in the best light.

5.00We had a great time. Justin met us at the dock and soon we roared away to view puffins, otter, gulls, eagles, and more along the waterways.

3.00The experience was advertised as a small group with a maximum of 6 people, be aware that they actually take up to 14. This was deceiving for us as we actually have had excellent small tours in other locations. I would rate this as at best average. Most of the time was spent looking at birds. Not really educational or enlightening. Good for kids.

5.00Captain Justin was quite knowledgeable about Homer and the Bay. Knew where to take us to find the most wildlife (could not spot a whale though (thus the unlucky!). If you are on a cruise ship, hopefully there is a bus to take you to their pier - quite the walk otherwise which we experienced.

5.00Kelsey and Jasper were amazing tour guides. They were just as excited as everyone to see all the wildlife. We loved hearing all their stories and information about the area and marine life. We saw hump back whales (mom and baby) breeched the water, lots of otters and their young, a puffin, and small porpoises. Book the tour!!!

5.00Very nice 2 hour tour with a small group in a nice small boat. Beautiful scenery, plus eagles, many birds, sea otters, a porpoise; just not a good time of year for whales unfortunately. Dress warm and you might get water spray up front when the boat is moving fast which adds to the fun adventure. You can also sit inside if you wish. We are very glad we did this tour.

5.00Captain Ben gave a great and very knowledgeable wildlife tour. Saw a lot and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend this trip if you want to see some great scenery and wildlife. We will be doing this trip again.
