Take a semi-private day trip you'll never forget! Start the day with a pickup at your door, then ride up the North Shore to Hammond Castle, located on the ocean cliffs of Gloucester. Choose from a wide variety of dining options in the historic downtown. After lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Salem. Learn about the infamous witch trials of 1692, see the real places where the victims were hanged. Learn the story of the "Corwin Curse" as you take a picture in front of the historic Witch House. See the locations where Hocus Pocus was filmed. Take a drive through one of the most beautiful streets in North America, lined with mansions built on the city's maritime fortune.

Note that per Massachusetts state law: "All children riding in passenger motor vehicles must be in a federally approved child passenger restraint that is properly fastened and secured according to the manufacturer's instructions until they are 8 years old OR over 57 inches tall." We do not provide child seats, please bring age appropriate car seats for kids who do not meet these criteria. We will not be able to allow you on the tour if you do not have child seats for everyone that needs one. A refund will not be issued the day of the tour due to lack of proper car seats. All children, regardless of age, must be registered as separate tour guests.
Not recommended for travelers with mobility problems (Hammond Castle has many steep, narrow stairs)

Drive to Hammond Castle (~60 min). At Hammond Castle (~75 min), you will enjoy a guided tour, learning about the origin and history behind the Castle. You will then have time to explore the rest of the grounds and take photos

5.00The excursion is very good; the weather did not help us because it was very cold and raining, but the guide Jenny was very friendly and kind, she had umbrellas and ponchos for everyone, the van was super comfortable (even with Wi-Fi), and on the way back, she dropped us directly at the door of our hotel. HIGHLY recommended, although it is essential to have a good level of English.

5.00Jenny was an incredible guide! She was the perfect balance of personable, knowledgeable, and funny. She made sure she kept us on schedule, so we didn’t miss anything, but also gave us a few extra minutes to buy souvenirs at the end. You get both the sad, historical account of the witch trials, mixed in with a bit of the pop culture side of it. The tour so much fun with her!!!

5.00We really enjoyed this tour with a small group of Hammond Castle and Salem. Jenny was our tour guide and she was full of knowledge and helpful. I would recommend this tour if you are visiting Boston.

5.00Alexandria was amazing! This was a fantastic day trip out of Boston. The castle offered one of the best views of the coast! Salem was cool as well; perhaps it's better to visit in the fall rather than in winter or summer. There's a lot of history; definitely would recommend this tour.

5.00It is an amazing tour. The small group was really nice. There is not a lot of time to shop, so make your lunch as short as possible.

4.00Salem in September, the weather was perfect 70 degrees not to crowed with October tourists but you still get the fall vibe! Salem is a quaint little town with artisanal shops, cobble stone streets. Our guide was exceptional, she was very knowledgeable about the witch trials, and the history of Salem.

5.00Alexandria our tour guide was wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time exploring Hammond Castle and Salem! Interesting facts regarding Salem witch trials which we were not aware of. Nice pickup and drop off at hotel. Excellent!

5.00Alexandria was an amazing tour guide who taught us all so much! She is fun and so sweet (I recommend she becomes a therapist since she’s such a wonderful listener). It was a wonderful time.
