How to Access: After booking you’ll receive an email and text with instructions (search “Download Audio Tour”). Click the link in the email/text to sign in with your preferred Apple or Google account and redeem your voucher code ahead of time.
Download The GuideAlong App: Download the free app over WiFi or cellular data and sign in with the same Apple or Google account.
Download The Tour: Download the tour in the GuideAlong app under 'My Tours' over WiFi or cellular data.
Start The Tour: Open the tour in the GuideAlong app to preview the start locations, tour route and trip planner, or start the tour.
Location-Based Stories: Audio commentary plays automatically as you drive using your phone’s GPS chip. Wherever you are and whichever direction you’re going, you’ll hear the best stories and tips.

The app’s audio will play through your car’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto display, while the app’s map will display on your phone. You can connect your phone to the car via Bluetooth to listen to the commentary through the car stereo.

2.00It was hard to get to the meeting point and the commentary was never in the right spot where we were. We just gave up and drove on our own. I was totally disappointed because I really wanted the commentary..

5.00Like having our own tour guide. The GPS directions were particularly helpful on the Road to Hana. We loved learning about the history and geology of Maui. Money well spent. Be sure to understand your phone/car/audio settings before using it - we had a few glitches on the first day.
Very Informative self driving tour

5.00I felt it was a very informative tour. It gave more information about the island history than some tour guides. It told how the island was formed, how and who inhabited it over the years with lot's of background commentary. I like that you can start anywhere on the route and will up where you are. You can take as much time as you want. The only glitch I saw was when we were coming down the mountain, half way down it thought we were going up and it repeated some narrative. Overall I really like it and would reccomend it.

Worthwhile Guide for Driving & Site Seeing, Try It Early in Your Trip

5.00We are very familiar with traveling and love to explore on our own. It feels silly but had never thought of a self guided driving audio tour existing. This guide was very informative and really added to our trip. Navigation was quite good too, where I could leave Waze on CarPlay without directions turned on and rely on the audio instructions inside of the guide to help.
