Our location offers one of the world’s premier manta ray viewing experiences, just a five-minute boat ride from the snorkel site. Utilizing advanced viewing technology, our experienced in-water crew safely guides guests through the ocean for an unforgettable encounter with these remarkable animals.
We offer three ticket options to accommodate different preferences. The Manta Guarantee allows guests to return on another tour if no mantas are seen and is best booked early in your stay. The Standard Ticket provides a single opportunity to view manta rays. Ride-Along ticket guests remain on the boat and do not enter the water; sightings are limited for this option. Snorkelers enjoy approximately 30 minutes in the water.
This nighttime manta snorkel is a truly memorable experience, offering a rare and close encounter that will leave a lasting impression.

This is a wild and free excursion. No refunds are given in the event we do not get to view mantas the night of your tour.
If you are unable to swim and would like to remain on the boat, we welcome you. "Ride alongs" are a paid ticket as it is a reserved seat on the boat at a discount.
We have full discretion to refuse service to guests based on attire, behavior, physical fitness & condition
Please arrive no later than your scheduled check in time, as we have important information to review prior to leaving the dock, as well as outfit all guests with the equipment needed for the tour.

Guests must be physically and mentally capable of listening to and obeying safety instructions
This is an open ocean experience at night. Young children may be scared of the dark waters and large animals.
Children who are frighten and crying will be escorted back aboard with a guardian. No Exceptions
Transportation NOT provided.
This trip is not for individuals who are afraid the dark, deep water, or large animals.
Snorkel vest provided for children 12 and under. Snorkel vest available to rent for all others.

Important! The listed start time is the check-in time, not the departure time. Please do not arrive early. This tour has two designated meeting locations. Carefully review all tour details before booking, as this experience may not be suitable for all guests. 1st: Check in at our store. Get fitted with gear, a boarding pass, and directions to the bay. 2nd: Board the boat, safety briefing, then spend approximately 30 minutes in the water with an in water guide to see manta rays. 3rd: Reboard and go back to the bay. Additional Information: * Swimming and snorkeling experience is required * This is an open-ocean activity; participants must be comfortable in deep, dark water * Activity intensity ranges from moderate to strenuous, depending on ocean conditions and individual fitness * Manta rays are wild animals, and sightings cannot be guaranteed * Guests must opt in to receive emails and text messages for important trip updates * International travelers must speak and understand English * We are unable to place international phone calls; please provide an alternative contact method * Groups with multiple reservations must contact us at least 24 hours in advance

1.00We booked what was advertised as a “Manta Ray Night Snorkel At Kona, Big Island” but when we arrived, we were told it was only a boat ride and not a snorkeling activity. In our experience, the advertising was confusing. There are plenty of providers offering similar experiences. Choose one that is transparent, makes the booking process easy, and treats customers as valued guests rather than just another tourist payment.

2.00We had the 7-9PM tour. We checked in at their store around 6:40 and the employees there were friendly and told us to be sure to be at the dock by 7:30. We and the rest of our tour group were all there by 7:30. By 8:00, no tour guides had shown up. We called and called until someone finally answered. We were told that the boat should arrive by 8:15. We asked why we had to be there by 7:30 or even check in by 7:00. The employee didn't apologize or give a reason for the exceptionally late tour guides. The tour guides showed up around 8:20, didn't apologize for being late, and pretty much rushed us into our assigned groups and then onto the boat. Previous reviews stated that they were in the water with the manta rays for 45 minutes. The boat ride was no more than 5 minutes. We were in the water for about 20 minutes and back on the dock by 9:00. Amazing that our trip ended right on time when we should have been out in the water. When I spoke to the boat operator, he simply said he was told to get us back by 9:00 because there was another group after us. That really sucked. There are other groups that you can go with. Go with them.

5.00This was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island! The customer service people were extremely helpful from start to finish - helped ease our family's fears, got us all fitted out quickly and easily, and the guides on the boat were fantastic. They were funny, professional, and made everyone relax. The manta rays were gigantic, spectacular, and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend!

5.00This manta ray night snorkel in Kona was awesome. We saw 4 manta rays and one swam right under us and showed its belly. Captain Craig and crew were helpful, organized and informative. It was not over crowded, so I did not feel like I was stuffed on a boat with a bunch of strangers. Loved everything from the beginning to the end of this snorkel tour. We took advantage of booking the captain cook snorkel tour and got a discount on the manta ray night snorkel. It was the best price in town!!

5.00The Kona manta ray snorkeling was the coolest experience! We saw a ton of manta rays and fish. The captain and crew were super informative, especially Craig and Brayden, and the whole trip was very organized and professional. We even got a discount for a captain cook snorkel tour which was an equally amazing trip. We would totally book another tour with them in the future!

5.00We did the Kona Manta Ray snorkel at night during our trip to the Big Island. Check in was easy. The crew and captain were great. We saw a lot of Manta’s that came right up to us. I highly recommend this experience if you are visiting Kona.

1.00Extremely disappointed with the recent manta ray sightseeing tour. The tour was cut short unexpectedly, and the experience was far from what was promised. Despite the tour ending early, only a 20% refund was offered, which does not fairly compensate for the lost experience and inconvenience. I would not recommend this tour company unless they improve how they handle cancellations, partial trips, and customer satisfaction.
