Johnston Canyon
A beautiful spot for hiking, Johnston Canyon is a deep, narrow gorge with waterfalls cascading down its rock walls. The trail follows the canyon’s path, leading to both the Lower Falls and Upper Falls. It’s particularly breathtaking in the fall when the leaves turn vibrant colors, or in winter when the waterfalls freeze into ice sculptures. 5.00Our guide was Aashish who was a great guide and helped make the experience at the lakes very enjoyable . He explained what was happening when we got to the lakes , clear instructions when to be back , took us on some of the hikes and took photos for us while sharing his knowledge of the area . He was also great at spotting the wildlife while driving we even got to see a bear . Highly recommend using Aashish and Matrix

5.00We had great weather that day, the van was comfortable and not crowded. The mountain scenery and lakes were unimaginable. Naveen our guide and driver, was keen, patient, knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. He made sure everyone was comfortable. He explained the sights well. We had an almost 3hr delay due to an incident along the highway, he kept our spirits high. Thank you for a memorable day.

5.00Excellent tour of Emerald Lake, Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, and Johnston Canyon! Our guide (Kul Vendor) was very knowledgeable and kept everything on schedule. He was friendly to us and voluntarily took our photos and at a couple of locations. He pointed out wildlife along the way and even made an unscheduled stop near Castle Mountain for a photo opp.

5.00My experience with Aashish was amazing. I did solo trip to Banff and my tour guide Aashish clicked some amazing photos of mine. Came back with wonderful lifetime memories. Looking forward to book my trip with viator again.

5.00We had an amazing experience on the Banff Three Iconic Lakes and Johnston Canyon Tour! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, but what really made the day special was our guide, Ram. Ram shared interesting facts and local history throughout the tour, kept everything organized, and made sure everyone felt welcome and comfortable. The gondola ride was fantastic, amazing views, great hiking trails at the top. The stops at the iconic lakes were stunning, and Johnston Canyon was unforgettable. Thanks to Ram, we were able to relax, enjoy the views, and make the most of our time in Banff. If you're considering this tour, I highly recommend it—and if you get Ram as your guide, you're in for an outstanding experience! Thank you, Ram, for an incredible day and memories we'll never forget! 🌲🏔️🇨🇦
Long day but beautiful lakes

4.00The sights are beautiful, especially the natural bridge. Our guide was great and very friendly. My complaint is the site says it will take 8 hours. Ours from pickup point to drop off point was 12 hours, way to much time in the vehicle. Then we only got a 45 minute stop for lunch at a very busy spot that had a bakery and a sit down restaurant. Everyone had to order their food and choke it down or take 1/2 home in boxes. Then there was no dinner stop. A tour from 8:00 a.m to 8:00 pm needs 2 food stops or a shorter day. Other then that we did get to see the big lakes where only shuttle buses and commercial tourism buses get to go.

5.00⁰This tour was wonderful even though it was raining. It was even snowing when we arrived at the beautiful Lake Louise. Our driver and guide (Naveen) did a good job in giving out information related to the park, province and country. He always shared where we were heading and how long it would take. He gave us suggestion on the hiking trail at Johnston Canyon with the time we had. Thank you, Naveen!
