More than a Benagil tour — this is a relaxed full-day experience through the real Algarve with a local guide.
Depart from Faro in a comfortable 7 - seat van and visit Benagil cliffs from above, Vigário Waterfall, Alte village, Loulé Market, scenic viewpoints, countryside roads and hidden places away from the crowds.
Enjoy local stories, culture, nature and a small regional tasting at a traditional countryside stop. The waterfall stop is included year-round. In warmer months, there may be time for a refreshing swim before lunch. Small group, max 6 guests. No big buses, no rushed stops.
Perfect for travelers who want to explore beyond the usual tourist spots, without renting a car or joining a crowded excursion. You’ll have time for photos, short walks and authentic moments along the way.
Insurance included. Languages : EN / FR / ES / PT.
Please note : this experience does not include a boat trip or entry inside Benagil Cave. Swimming depends on weather and conditions.

Visit Loulé Market, one of the most emblematic covered markets in the Algarve, known for its Moorish-inspired architecture, vibrant atmosphere and local character. Located in the heart of Loulé, it is a meeting point for locals and visitors, with fresh produce, fish, regional products, traditional sweets and local crafts. Guests can explore at a relaxed pace, discover Algarve flavours, take photos and experience everyday life in a traditional Portuguese town. On some days, the area around the market may be livelier, with local producers and artisans outdoors. Please note : on public holidays, Loulé Market may be closed or have limited opening hours. This depends on the market management and is outside our control. If this happens, the guide will adapt the stop to offer the best possible local experience in Loulé.
Salir
Drive through the centre of Salir, a traditional inland village that shows a quieter side of the Algarve. As we pass through, the guide will point out typical Algarvian houses, narrow streets, small traditional doors and details of village life. This short passage helps guests understand how local communities have changed over time, with services and daily life still present in small countryside villages. Please note : this is a scenic drive-through, not a castle visit or walking stop.

5.00We had a fantastic day out on this tour. Our tour guide Bruno was excellent. He took us to see the alternative Portugal where locals live and work. The farmers market at Loule was fantastic as was the walk through the town meeting local artists and crafts people. Bruno knows the area very well and took us to the best sights. Lunch was good too on a small Resteraunt in Alte. He also gave us lots of information about life in Portugal which you don’t see in the tourist areas.

5.00the tour is well organized, so you have great variety. You don’t have to walk long on challenging paths, nor do you have too much time in the car between stops. Bruno is super friendly and responsive to the wishes of guests. It explains a lot of interesting information, but also leaves room for you to look at something in peace. You can tell that he cares about the experiences of the guests and likes his work

5.00We were very grateful for having recommended us the services of the Algar Tour, this was the type of tour we were looking for and that fortunately allowed us to get to know the interior of the Algarve and its landscapes that for moments made us forget about the entire coastline, it was a fantastic experience and Bruno made all the difference with his knowledge about the region is a true local guide who grew up in the city of Loulé where we visited the typical Market and the Modern Church of the Sovereign Mother!

5.00I wanted to do things of the beaten path and this was exactly the trip. Bruno being a native to the area definitely sets this trip apart from any other trip i have done in Algarve region. Highly recommend it.

5.00Wonderful daytour in the Algarve with Bruno, an excellent and nice guide. As a local he knows little magical spots far away from tourists (uhm... I am one ... 😎). He tells nice stories and facts only locals knows. And he takes care for you very well. A great tour, I enjoyed every minute! Highly recommended!
