Lucknow is a city of many splendors, that promises a rich dose of history, culture and cuisine. On this 5-hour small group tour, view amazing sights such as La Martiniere, Sadat Ali & Begum Tombs, The Residency, Asfi (Bara) Imambara, Rumi Darwaza and Hussainabad (Chota) Imambara. At the end of it all you may also opt for a stroll at the Chowk market or at Hazratganj. There is a maximum of 4 passengers for this tour.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as it will involve a bit of walking. Also at few religious places shoes will have to be taken off (No Shoe Covers Allowed).
Dress code is casual, while ladies need to carry a head scarf and wear covering dresses to suit Islamic religious sentiments.

5.00Cyrus was an exceptional tour guide and went above and beyond to give us a very unique experience as we had a personal reason to visit Lucknow. We enjoyed the whole tour but the visit to La Martiniere College was the highlight as my father was a student there many years ago.

5.00This was one of the highlights of my trip to India. Cyrus went above and beyond, after learning that my Dad's family came from Lucknow, to take me to the areas where he grew up, and to explain a lot about Anglo-Indian history in Lucknow. The tour takes in all the major monuments and attractions in Lucknow, and Cyrus gave very informative and conversational explanations along the way, quite different to other tours I had done in India where guides deliver a very rehearsed spiel. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in Lucknow and its history and culture.

5.00A knowledgeable guide for whom history and the city are clearly passions. Timings were not quite as given (we left at 9.30) , but that wasn't a problem. Conversation flowed and even the Art Gallery was brought to life by the commentaries, which for me, is saying something! Plenty of photo opportunities and amazing views of the city. Guide even detoured to the Post Office for me!

5.00We were picked up from the hotel at 0939 by Jafar in a car with driver. The traffic is very chaotic but the driver was good and we felt very safe. Jafar was very experienced and is obviously well respected. He was very informative throughout the day and allowed us to proceed at our own pace. We visited the main sites of Bara Imambara, Chota Imambara, TheResidence and the Martinier College. Jafar would have taken us shopping but we declined. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you Jafar

5.00Pankaj is an excellent guide with a wealth of knowledge of Lucknow, its history and culture. The day was well planned and includes all the main sites, including Matinere College which other groups cannot always visit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Lucknow

5.00This was my favorite tour in India (I've been here for three weeks as an American tourist, and I've toured several different cities at this point)! Tornos does it right -- they provide a wealth of information, water bottles, very nice car, and friendly service. My guide, Cyrus, was very friendly and helpful! It was a very enjoyable tour.

5.00I very much enjoyed this tour. The company, Tounos was very professional, as were their staff. My guide, Ravi, was really great and a wealth of information. Could not have been better. My surprise was the large extent of impressive architecture in the city and the interest of the Residency ruins from 1856. So a full tour that has added much to my knowledge. Thank you Ravi.

5.00I was recently in Lucknow where I had asked Tornos to come up with a tailor-made tour. My friend and I were particularly interested in the chikan embroidery so wanted to visit SEWA where you can see items being stitched as well as buy the beautiful products. Tornos took on board our interests and put together a magnificent 2 day programme covering general sight-seeing, as well as food and heritage interests in addition to the handicrafts. We were looked after by the wonderful Cyrus who couldn't have been more helpful and incorporated every request we made. He was a mine of information and made the perfect our guide. Thank you Tornos.
