The tour begins either from Kalabaka or from your accommodation in the area. Be driven up to Meteora in a luxurious mini-bus where an experienced and skilled tour leader will explain to you the history of Meteora and show you hidden places that only locals know about. See the 1000-year old hermitage of Bandovas, which was built like a cave system. You will also see the Byzantine Church, which was built over ancient ruins. Later, visit a monastery to admire the Christian architecture and see the frescoes in the churches.
Just before sunset, the driver will take you on the peak of the rocks at a perfect spot for photographs. Admire the beautiful sunset view over the valley below. The tour ends afterward and you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

5.00This was a great tour that showed the beautiful scenery and monasteries of Meteora. Our guide, Ria, was wonderful and provided wonderful descriptions of the area and its history. We didn’t get a sunset but it was still worth it!

5.00Great personal tour with Pamos the guide who was born and raised in Kalambaka, there had been a no show and we two were treated to a very informative and interesting tour of the monasteries, the very old basilica and a beautiful sunset, highly recommend this tour

5.00We enjoyed the tour, and it included a lot more than we expected to see. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Communication was great to confirm pick up time in advance. Very professional. We did this tour the afternoon we arrived, which was a great orientation to the area. The next day we did a private tour (although there were 4 of us and this tour ended up being private also) and then we saw everything else was wanted to see.

5.00We greatly enjoyed our tour with Panos. It was a memorable experience viewing the many sights of Meteora, both big and small. We visited two monasteries with ease. He is an excellent tour guide who has it all: knowledge of the area, and a friendly, energetic attitude!

5.00There were only 4 people on this tour and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Loved seeing all the hermit caves and the monasteries were magnificent. We did the sunset tour but sadly it was a cloudy evening. I loved the experience though.
