  This was, without a doubt, the best tour I have experienced in Iceland and one of the most memorable travel experiences of my life. Fjallsárlón is a truly magical place. Standing at the edge of the glacier lagoon and watching icebergs drift across the water feels like stepping into a movie scene. What makes Fjallsárlón even more special is that it remains relatively undiscovered compared to Jökulsárlón, which is only about 10 minutes away. If you're looking for an incredible glacier experience without the crowds, Fjallsárlón is the perfect choice. The tour began with gearing up for the adventure. The staff were veryfriendly and helpful, making sure everyone had the proper equipment and felt comfortable before we started. We then headed to the RIB boats, and being able to navigate between the icebergs was simply unforgettable. Our boat guide, Marcos, was fantastic. Being able to do a boat ride and a glacier hike on the same tour makes the experience even more complete. After the boat ride, we docked on the side of the lagoon and prepared for the glacier hike. We were provided with crampons, ice axes, and helmets. Our glacier guide, Marcin, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared many fascinating facts about glaciers. Before setting off, he provided a safety briefing, and throughout the hike I felt completely safe and well looked after. There were only seven people in our group, which made the experience feel very personal. Even better, we had the glacier entirely to ourselves. There was no one else around, just our group and the sound of the ice. The tour stands out not only because of its breathtaking scenery but also because of the exceptional quality of the experience. From the professionalism of the guides to the small group sizes and attention to detail, everything is first-class. So, if you are looking for the very best glacier tour in Iceland, I cannot recommend Fjallsárlón highly enough!

  We were with the guide Marco on boat and glacier tour today. That was fantastic. Super nice, very friendly and knowledgeable guide 😄 we can only recommend this lagoon compared to the larger one found nearby.

  

  

• Great tour - loved Fjallsarlon Lagoon (better than Jokulsarlon)

  Loved the smaller Lagoon. Did Jokulsarlon same day and liked this much better - got closer to glacier, much more knowledgeable and interesting guide, no unpleasant speeding across the lagoon. Staff was incredibly accommodating and switched our time same day. Guide was great. While you're there, be sure to plan time to eat at the Frost restaurant on site - one of the few places to eat in the area in good food. Cafeteria style.

  We chose the Fjallsarlon lagoon because it allowed for the zodiac excursion, while at Jokulsarlon they started in May. We also liked the more "intimate" environment. Our guide, a very friendly young man, accompanied us through the icebergs, explaining the characteristics of the ice, the glacier, and making a lot of funny jokes.

  We went on the glacier boat tour. I would suggest that you go on this tour versus the jokulsarlon tour. You will get much closer to the glacier and it’s a smaller group setting, which is nice. Then just stop by jokulsarlon afterward for photos - there is plenty of parking to do so. Our guide was very knowledgeable and this one of the main highlights of our time in Iceland.

  Booked the last zodiac tour of the day and it was a great experience with the guide Giuseppe and skipper Markus. The combination of the passionate skipper and see the sun go down was fabulous!!

  Amazing tour!!! The boat ride was perfect to see the icebergs up close and the glacier wall. Learned a ton about how glaciers and lagoons form and change over time. The Jeep ride was short and the glacier hike was wonderful. Our guide Martin was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, attentive to the pace of the small (6 person) group and was funny and educational. Outside of seeing the northern lights, this tour was the highlight of our trip! Just a note for the boat and glacier hike, there was an hour in between to have a snack, use restroom, etc.

  The scenery at Fjallsárlón Lagoon is simply breathtaking! During the boat tour, I discovered that Vatnajökull is the largest glacier in Europe, and it's fascinating to see how the snow from the mountains slowly descends into the lagoon, forming icebergs that drift elegantly before melting. The highlight was getting up close to these magnificent icebergs, making it an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Iceland, I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. A big thank you to Norbert, our guide, and the Fjallsárlón Iceberg Boat Tours team for making this tour exceptional!

  My sister and I had an amazing time on the boat ride and glacier hike in Iceland. The guides were knowledgeable and made the experience safe and enjoyable.   Had an awesome tour with Jovan, the best guide ever, informative, humorous and extremely friendly! Just great! Jovan told a lot about the area, it was a lot of fun! Mega tour through the fascinating icebergs. A must in Iceland! Thanks for the great experience!
