  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join the Dharavi tour in person as planned. I was supposed to visit together with a friend and colleague as part of a work trip, and I was disappointed to miss the experience. However, Leena went above and beyond to make sure I could still take part. She recorded most of her tour and guiding, allowing me to gain valuable insights into Dharavi and its community. Thanks to her effort, I was still able to fulfill my professional commitments and gain the understanding I had hoped for from the visit. Her kindness, dedication, and willingness to help were truly exceptional. Even from a distance, Leena made me feel included. At just 21 years old, Leena is knowledgeable, kind, humble, and incredibly warm-hearted. She shares Dharavi’s stories with honesty and care, while also showing the incredible work done here by skilled artisans, tailors, potters, and recycling businesses operating at the highest level..   Leena and Janna were amazing guides for today’s tour ..truly perfect for exploring Bombay . They were sweet, well-trained, and as locals, shared so much valuable insight. I would definitely recommend them. Felt completely safe throughout

  A nice little walk in Dharavi then in Dhobighat with Rakesh. I spent 3 hours discovering these two iconic but little known places of Mumbai. Rakesh was a friendly and very attentive guide.

  The tour of a slum does not sit easy with me for reasons that I am sure most sensitive travellers can relate. I could not have been more wrong. Our tour with Janna from CityPulse fulled me with inspiration and possibility. I was overwhelmed with admiration and hope by the tenacity, resilience and determination with which the recycling, refurbishing, sorting, creating and perfecting of leather, plastic, hides, fabrics and pottery by the fantastically skilled and competent workers, creators and gatherers. In this time of monopoly capital, of no competitive opportunities for level-entry entrepreneurs, of the stark monotony of the global market-village, the hard working people of Dharavi slum in Mumbai show us true grit and the power of the informal sector.
