  Many thanks to Meru Slopes for a very well organized safari tour! Our safari coordinator Gift was excellent at suggesting the best ideas for our itinerary and flexible adjusting to our needs. Our guide / driver Omari did a wonderful job at organising our daily activities and was very helpful in reaching the main areas of interest. Omari is also very experienced in finding the locations of different animals and spotting them even from far away. Omari was very knowledgeable about Tanzania, its culture and biodiversity. Many thanks once again for excellent experience, we would repeat it any time in the future!

  We relied on Meru Slopes for our safari in Tanzania, recommended by a friend of mine who had a very good experience. Perfect safari, organized down to the smallest details. Very friendly and helpful company; they advised us and assisted us from Italy for every request and information. The safari was perfect; the driver was very accommodating and friendly, adapting the program to our needs. The hotels chosen by the company were perfect and in a good location. Truly recommended; we did not expect such a perfect welcome and organization.

They were patient, professional, and tailored the perfect itinerary and accommodations to fit our budget. Due to the conflict in the Middle East, our original flights were canceled, and we had to reschedule our entire trip. Meru Slopes Tours handled everything swiftly and re-arranged our tour without charging any extra fees. Highly recommended! ​On top of that, we were extremely lucky to have Jacob as our guide for the 7-day safari. Jacob is witty, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable about wildlife. More importantly, thanks to his extensive experience, he knew exactly how to beat the crowds. We often found ourselves enjoying the unparalleled beauty of the Serengeti all to ourselves. He never hesitated to go the extra mile, starting early and finishing late, using his expertise to take us off the beaten path where other jeeps wouldn't go. • Safari Honeymoon with Jacob!

  Where do we even begin? Every aspect of our trip exceeded our expectations, from the initial booking right through to our final lunch. Meru Slopes has been fantastic from start to finish. We requested a few changes to our itinerary, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Kelvin was incredibly helpful, accommodating and responsive throughout the entire process, making everything feel effortless. We were collected from the airport in a lovely vehicle by Victor, who took us to Chemka Hot Springs – a beautiful start to our adventure. We then headed to Arusha Planet Lodge which, like all of our accommodation throughout the trip, offered exceptional hospitality. On our first morning we met Jacob, our guide for the safari, and he was absolutely brilliant. Thanks to his knowledge, experience, humour and determination, we saw every animal on our wish list, including a leopard, rhinos, and even a cheetah hunting and feeding her cubs. Jacob is incredibly knowledgeable, respectful of the animals and national parks, and great fun to spend time with. If you're considering booking this trip for your honeymoon or any special holiday, do it – and if possible, ask for Jacob! The food and drink throughout the trip were excellent, with plenty of delicious local dishes, fantastic meat, and fruit from Jacob's garden. We are leaving Tanzania with full stomachs, hundreds of photos, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to the entire Meru Slopes team for making our honeymoon so special. • Seven unforgettable days with Robert, knowledgeable, kind, and the best company on safari

  I just finished a 7-day private safari through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Eyasi with Meru Slopes, and I can’t recommend it enough. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely at ease from day one, and that made all the difference. Robert, my guide and driver, was exceptional. We saw all of the Big Five, plus lion and cheetah sightings I’ll never forget. His ability to spot and track wildlife was remarkable, but what really stood out was how much he knew. He understood the animals and birds intimately and explained everything so clearly that I came away knowing far more than I expected to. Lake Eyasi added something special too, a completely different rhythm and landscape from the parks. Beyond all his expertise, Robert made me feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy the whole time. We laughed the entire way through. It was an incredible experience, and so much of that was thanks to him. I also want to thank Almachius, the sales representative who arranged everything. The planning was smooth and seamless from the start. If you’re a solo traveler, or honestly anyone, looking for a private safari with a skilled, communicative, and caring guide, I can’t recommend Robert and Meru Slopes enough.

  We had a fantastic time. We chose Meru Slopes to organize our tour because we were looking for a reputable local firm without a middleman. Shadrack, who did an excellent job organizing this trip for us and went out of his way to help us. We visited Tarangire National Park, Southern & Central Serengeti, Ndutu, and Ngorongoro National Park. Our guide, Patricki, was also outstanding. He could spot animals from far away. He was a leader among the guides. He went out of his way to make our trip memorable. We had so many exciting experiences. I highly recommend Meru Slopes, Shadrack, and Patricki.

  An unforgettable 7 day safari experience in Tanzania with Meru Slopes! From plains of the Serengeti to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, every game drive was incredible. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife, seeing all of the big 5! Our guide Max was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more special. The scenery, wildlife, accommodations and food exceeded all expectations. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure I would highly recommend using Meru Slopes as your tour group! I will definitely be back hopefully with Max and Meru Slopes!

  What an amazing experience! Our guide, Max, was extremely friendly and had a wealth of knowledge regarding everything we saw on our safari. We saw every animal we came to see and plenty others— some we didn’t know existed!

  Had such a great time with our guide Mohamed from Meru Slopes where he gave us the best safari tour we could ever ask for! Saw more than 17 cheetah and all the major animals! Mohamed is a really experienced guide and we are so lucky to have him as our guide and would definitely love to come back to Tanzania!

  We had an amazing experience with Meru Slopes and an incredible safari. Our experience started when we were met by our driver at 5:30 AM at the Arusha airport, and brought to our lodge. After resting, our coordinator, Shadrack, met us at the lodge to go over our itinerary. His driver took us to Arusha to show us the cultural center, an amazing art museum, and the local women and men’s markets. It was a great introduction to being in Tanzania. The next day we met Mohammad, our driver and guide, and started our journey. We spent the first day at Tangarire National Park, the next 2 1/2 days on the Serengeti, Then a day at the Ngorongoro crater. The last day was spent at lake Manyara. Mohamad was an exceptional driver, including on very bumpy and sometimes muddy Serengeti roads. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, their habits, and had a knack at finding animals. We managed to see the big five, Lions, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant and the Black rhino, though at quite a distance and through binoculars. Plus cheetah, giraffe, zebra, and hippo bringing us up to the big nine. We saw many other animals and birds. We observed many of things that are rare, such as a leopard bring a baby gazelle it had killed to its baby as it climbed up a tree to store this precious food. We also observed a group of lions feeding on its prey, part of the animal world we don’t get to see when not in the wild. Our tour also included a visit to a Maasai village, which was very interesting and informative. They shared their traditions, their songs, and we were able to go inside one of the houses. A great experience. We were very happy with all the accommodations that Shadrack had arranged for us for the Safari. Food was quite good. The tent camps were amazing. And the staff at all of the places we stayed were so welcoming and accommodating.
