I could have gotten this info from the plaques around town. Only interesting thing was about the bank robbery and the supposed but hole in the wall across the street. What a waste of time and money

Megan was very informative and fun in her presentation of the history of Eureka Springs. There are many steps and uneven surfaces athletic shoes are much better than sandals or flip flops

Our tour was called took about 75 minutes. We started at Basin Spring Park - right in the center of town with a history of how things started. Megan, our guide, then took us below ground to where buildings were centered prior to moving upward due to mudslides. For much of the rest of the tour, we traversed the main business street really from one end to the other (Spring St) with architectural history, stories about buildings, stories about the town at various points in time, and another spring at the far end. You finish about 3 blocks from where you start - a gradual uphill. Megan was great; didn't need a script; answered all questions and ensured everyone could see everything. Great intro to Eureka Springs. Interesting there were 10,000 people living here in the late 1800s, and now just over 2,000.
