Mike took us on the tour of Ethiopia on a long layover in Addis Ababa. All I can say is, we will be back for a longer stay. The city is intriguing, the food is good, the coffee is the best I’ve ever had and the people are nice. Mike was an amazing tour guide who made sure we had the best experience. Thank you, Mike. See ya soon.

Our guide, Yoki, spike perfect English, she was pleasant, flexible, knowledgeable, and very professional. She gave us a fascinating introduction to Ethiopia’s history and culture. We did not know about Ethiopia’s successful resistance to Italian colonization, and he country’s deep connection to the origin of coffee. , we also found out more about the story of King Solomon, the Queen of Sheba, and myth about “the Ark” of the Covenant. The National Museum was another highlight, especially seeing Lucy, one of humanity’s earliest known ancestors. The museum guide was also knowledgeable and helped bring Ethiopia’s incredible history to life. This tour exceeded all of our expectations and transformed an unexpected layover into a memorable experience. We highly recommend it to anyone passing through Addis Ababa

Pickup had a bit of a delay since we did this tour as a layover to Tanzania. We were 4 people with luggage and I had confirmed ahead of time via WhatsApp that we would have luggage and that keeping it with us and leaving in the car would be safe. When we arrived, the car that was picking us up with a very small compact hatchback. It couldn’t not fit 4 adults and a driver, much less all of our luggage. It took about an hour for another van to be sent which was much better! After the van was sent, the whole experience was great! Our guide told us a lot about Addis Ababa and the history. We saw beautiful views of the city and had the most delicious bbq lunch. Plus some amazing Ethiopian coffee! Highly recommend this if you have a long layover. Definitely worth getting out of the airport and seeing the city.

We had a short transit in Ethiopia, so we joined a tour. Our guide, Atna, was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us, making our time in Addis Ababa truly wonderful. He is a highly hospitable guide with extensive knowledge, and he was able to answer every question we had. Thanks to him, we gained a much deeper understanding of Ethiopia and its culture. He is also very friendly! Since my parents are elderly, we had some requests, and Atna kindly accommodated them and adjusted the tour to suit our needs. We greatly appreciated his flexibility and care. The tour was excellent, and we would definitely ask Atna to be our guide again the next time we visit Addis Ababa. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and caring guide!

We booked a tour of the capital with Mickael and it was the best! He was able to answer all our questions. We were able to visit the national museum, eat injera, and participate in a traditional coffee ceremony ☕️.

This was a really amazing tour which I loved especially for the price I didn’t expect to see these many places. Joe my tour guide was amazing I cant sing his praises enough very detailed oriented the technical depth he has in terms of history his lovely personality always offering to take me pictures everywhere we went and making sure the trip was enjoyable for me. I’m borrowing his words because I felt the same too “ the tour didn’t feel like a regular tour it felt like I was exploring the city of Addis Ababa with a friend/brother”. Even though my layover was over 12 hours I got to my hotel around 4pm. My pickup from the hotel was around 4:30 and the my tour guide Joe was very patient even though I wasn’t ready by 4:30 he gave me time to get ready and it was time for the tour. Joe is very good at his job cos immediately we started moving through the streets of Addis Ababa he started pointing out sights and sceneries like the Addis Ababa University, the African Union Headquarters, The Presidential Palace etc giving me detailed history about them all he would slow his car down a bit or stop if he could so i take pictures. Our first stop was the National Museum and even though it was closing Joe managed to squeeze us in for a few minutes I met Lucy and other artifacts and fossils that blew my mind there was so much history there. We went straight to Entoto Mountain and mind throughout the ride he educating me on the history of Ethiopia Emperor Selassie his family etc. On the mountain he showed me the nicer parts and not so nice part cos I had to have the full experience he took me to the first Ethiopian Church and there was so much history there. A service was on going so i got see it and the various parts of the church it was a really nice experience. Next we went to have the coffee ceremony at a nice pub/coffee place the people were amazing the atmosphere was amazing and we had some really good coffee. Next we headed to Mercato market the biggest market place in Africa i think it was so huge that even in a car we couldn’t explore it all it was night time so most of the shops were closed but it was still buzzing with people, on that route he took me to a church nearby there was a ceremony going on cos it was one of the saints day the place was packed the ceremony was lovely the singing dancing people with candles oh it was lovely. The last place was the Tomoca Coffee shop the first coffee shop in Ethiopia, there we had some really good coffee and explored the place this is a very good place to see if you’re a coffee person and he showed me a newspaper about there dating system it was 2018 in Ethiopia and it felt i was back in time. We weren’t able to go get some authentic Ethiopian food but it was okay we would do that next time. I highly recommend this tour and Joe especially you’ll have the best time.
