This is a truly Highlight-Experience: if you live in a big city then you will be amazed by the Southern Hemisphere Milky Way in it’s splendor. Imagine counting up to 6.000 naked-eye visible stars instead of the 30 that you may see in the urban light polluted sky – it is a big WOW!!!
We will go through the beauties of the night sky – looking for planets, stars, shooting stars, satellites, constellations and galaxies. We may elaborate on life outside Earth – based on Science and Philosophy, including the Fermi Paradox.
“Selfie-of-the-Stars”: an unforgettable picture of the group with the stars in the background taken with state-of-the-art photographic equipment will be handed over with resolution for social media usage (digital file).
Note: tours available from Last Quarter through First Quarter including New Moon phases, meteorology depended activity.

This is a great opportunity to look at the night sky with the milky way in its splendor in a dark sky with almost no light pollution (Bortle Class 1-2), a totally immersive and fascinating experience. It’s a must-see for people having an urban life - where starry skies no longer exist due to light pollution. No hiking is required (the stars are too far away). Cambara do Sul city is the base of this outdoor activity – located ca 200km from the nearest international airport in Porto Alegre/South Brazil. Activities: -Sunset phases, observing the dynamics of light; -Identification in the night sky of planets, stars, shooting stars, satellites, constellations and galaxies (using a high-power laser pointer); -Navigation using stars; -Light pollution and its effects; -Human and extraterrestrial life, the Fermi Paradox; -Preparation/registration of the “Selfie-of-the-Stars”; -Naked eye sky observation (no telescopes are used); -Duration: 4h (typically 17:00-21:00h, Winter 16:30-20:30h/Summer 18:00-22:00h). -Minimum age: 16 years old

5.00On June 4, 2026, in Cambará do Sul, we participated in an astronomical tour, organized and guided by @egonfilter. It was an incredible and enriching experience. We made fantastic photos, related to the theme. I compared it to the Atacama Desert Astronomical Tour. I dare say it was much more enriching! It is in Cambará do Sul/Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil; live this experience!

5.00The Astronomical Tour with the Egon was one of the highlights of our trip to Cambara do Sul. In addition to an absolutely stunning sky, the tour was conducted with a lot of knowledge, sensitivity and a touch of relaxation, making the experience engaging from beginning to end. The photos are incredible and perpetuate unique moments under the Milky Way. I took the tour with my mom, which made everything even more special! I already had the opportunity to do an astronomical tour in Atacama and, frankly, the experience with Egon managed to delight me even more. It was not just an observation of the sky, but a night of learning, connection and enchantment. I highly recommend to those who visit Cambará do Sul. An experience that will stay in memory forever. ✨ 💙

5.00UAU - é a melhor descrição desse tour, que superou todas as expectativas. Ver o céu de um lugar sem luz, ok.. é possível, mas o diferencial desse tour com certeza é o guia. Egon é uma "criatura" sensacional, querido, simpático e atencioso. O diferencial com certeza é o storytelling que ele faz para envolver todo o passeio. As histórias que ele conta, é o que torna tudo muito mais pessoal e especial. Lendas, histórias de vida, ciência e um pouco de filosofia é um pouco do que ele entrega. Uma noite especial pra ficar na memória e com belíssimos registros para eternizar o momento. Pra pessoas curiosas é um prato cheio. Obs: faz bastante frio, mas o guia ameniza bastante com uns peleguinhos, cobertas e até mesmo chá quente. Só façam!! Não tem como se arrepender. 5.00We did the Astronomical Tour on Corpus Christi holiday and it was one of the most surprising experiences of the trip to Southern Cambara. The clear sky with great visibility would already be a spectacle in itself, but the way Egon conducts the activity turns everything into something much greater, with a very well-thought-out storetellying, connecting astronomy, science, history and curiosities in a engaging and natural way. Another highlight is the photographs. In addition to recording the region’s stunning sky, Egon is able to capture wonderful memories! For those looking for a different, authentic and memorable experience in Cambará do Sul, this tour is unique!

5.00Attending the astronomical tour with Egon Filter was an experience that goes far beyond watching the sky. The combination of knowledge, passion for astronomy and the ability to explain complex topics in an accessible way makes the activity engaging from beginning to end. Observing the night sky is impressive, but the difference lies in the way Egon conducts the experience, connecting science, contemplation and photography. In a world that teaches us to look down, to the screens and to the race, it invites us to look up. Egon’s storytelling made it clear that the true spectacle was not just in heaven. It was in the human capacity to wonder. Between distant galaxies and carefully told stories, time seems to slow down and we remember something simple and valuable, we are small in front of the universe, but huge in what we are capable of feeling.

5.00The Egon from the beginning very requested and correct. Following the predictability of the day for excellence tour, has a lot of knowledge on astronomy and astrophotography. Careful in every detail and delivers surreal photos of the tour in high quality. It is an unexplained and aggregating experience, with reflective questions.
