Malta Sailing Experiences specialises in small-group bespoke sailing holidays and yacht charter experiences around the Maltese islands and beyond.
Our Half day charters are great for people who want a quick taster of life on a yacht.
There are options to go to one of 4 bays whaich can be discussed with your skipper. St Pauls Islands or Fra Ben Bay or Hoffriet bays or Balluta Bay.
You can also combine this with a harbour tour but this is best done on the evening charter and not on the morning one.

Island of Malta
Start times 8.30am to 12.30pm for Half Day Charters Start Time 6.30pm to 10.30pm for Evening Charters. Half Day Itinerary Itinerary – In a 4 hour half day charter, there are a few options to experience. • Journey to a nearby bay and enjoy the 4 hours unwinding on a yacht. We usually go south to Hoffriet, or north to Fra Ben, St Pauls Islands or to maximise time, closer to Balluta bay. • Sail for 4 hours enjoying the adventure and getting a chance to take control of the wheel and explore the full sailing experience. • Enjoy a short sail for an hour or two and then combine this with a harbour tour of the Grand Harbour at night. Quite spectacular and magical. Your itinerary can be discussed on the day with your skipper. Please note that Comino is not an option on a 4 hour trip and only an option on a full day charter. Food and drink is also not provided as part of the charter but you are always welcome to get your own on board.

5.00We were really well looked after and in an excellent pair of skipper hands. His name was Alex. Despite some wind, we sailed safely down to the south and visited 3 bays, swam and ate there very tranquilly. The sailing boat was really comfortable and we could move around and sunbathe on deck. Main amenities on board including paddle boards. Definitely hope to book again.

5.00We had an amazing boat trip with Ollie as our skipper. From start to finish, he made the experience enjoyable, safe, and memorable. Ollie chose some fantastic spots around the island, allowing us to see beautiful locations that we might not have discovered on our own. Safety was clearly his top priority throughout the trip, which gave everyone peace of mind and allowed us to relax and enjoy the day. His knowledge of the island was impressive, and he shared interesting information and local insights along the way. He also recommended some great places to visit, making the experience even more special. I would highly recommend Malta Sailing Experience to anyone looking for a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable charter. Thank you for a fantastic day on the water!

5.00We had an amazing half day boating adventure with Patrick and Heloise. Patrick curated a wonderful tour of coves, caves and swimming around the south of the island. In addition, he generously added a harbor tour sharing historical facts and his deep knowledge of the area. Heloise was the perfect first mate who made certain that we were comfortable for our tour. We also appreciated the pristine condition of the boat and Patrick’s flexibility and their warm hospitality. Would highly recommend.

5.00Beautiful boat and excellent captain Patrick along with crew Heloise. Both were so professional and engaging! Patrick’s narrative and agenda were tailored to the interests of our group, beyond Instagram hotspots. He provided fascinating insight on Malta, touching on history, politics and the Maltese character…showed us grand vistas and secret coves …took us on a tender into a water cave that we had all to ourselves …then Heloise took us on a shore excursion walking on smooth rocks alongside glittering salt pans. The boat was pristine, the water was sparkling and it was a perfect day!

5.00A lovely serene May evening in the South of Malta against a backdrop of beautiful white cliffs with a window in the rocks into the next bay. We were blessed with a beautiful sunset which we enjoyed on the way back. We very much enjoyed the experience on the spacious well kept catamaran and the magnificent Grand Harbour cruise at the end was the cherry on the already scrumptious cake!

5.00We were so well looked after by Patrick and Pia , such a lovely couple! The boat was clean and spacious, the food good and Patrick never tired of explaining to us everything to do with navigation. Thank you we will definitely come again!

5.00An amazing day with friends sailing to the south of the island, mooring in a beautiful bay with opportunities to swim and enjoying excellent food. Our skipper, Patrick, was friendly, highly skilled and professional. We concluded with a night time tour of the harbours with spectacular views of the bastions of Valletta and surrounding cities. We highly recommend this tour.
