Enjoy a relaxed and well-organized experience starting with a convenient meeting point in the center of Saranda. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle through the scenic Albanian countryside to the famous Blue Eye.
What makes this tour stand out is the included panoramic train ride (one way) to the spring, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings without the full walk.
After exploring the area, you can return at your own pace with a short walk back to the parking area.
At the Blue Eye, you’ll have free time to admire the crystal-clear turquoise water, take photos, relax with a coffee, or simply enjoy the peaceful natural setting.
The experience continues with a visit to Lekursi Castle, where you’ll catch a stunning sunset with panoramic views over Saranda, Ksamil, Corfu, Lake Butrint, the Bistrica River, and the Ionian Sea.
Return to Saranda with unforgettable memories from one of the most beautiful spots in Albania.

The Blue Eye
Our guide will wait you on our meeting point and then we will drive to Blue Eye Spring, during the road we will see the Bistrica river with its clear water, a lot of different trees, nature forest. After we will arrive on the parking lot we should walk around 12 min to the Blue Eye Spring(optional going by train-3€ each way).We will have time for photos, trying the cold water of Blue Eye, break time for a coffee.
Last location will be Lekursi Castle, we will be on time to catch an amazing sunset from the castle, one of the highest place of the city. From here we can see Ionian sea, Bistrica River, Butrinti Lake, Sarande City, village around Corfu and Ksamil.

5.00It was amazing! From the moment we booked to the unforgettable experience we had. They didn’t just “drop us off and leave us to fend for ourselves.” We had a guide with us the whole trip who shared interesting facts and helped us take some great photos. I definitely recommend it!!!

5.00This tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Ledjon shared so many Albanian stories and facts about the Blue Eye which was so beautiful. Then we arrived at Lekursi Castle at the perfect time. The sunset was spectacular. I would highly recommend Open Tour Albania as your tour guide.

5.00Great trip with friendly guides! Perfect combination of information and guided parts, and free time to explore by yourself. We enjoyed Blue eye and the surrounding nature and scenery so so much! The sunset from the castle was also beautiful, though the castle was a bit too crowded to our taste.

5.00It was simply beautiful. The spring and then the sunset.... Simply perfect. I would recommend following the hiking trail for about 15-20 minutes. There are beautiful spots ahead. Only when you reach the summit is it said to not be as beautiful anymore.

5.00I travelled solo to Albania and booked this trip through booking.com . It was fantastic , the tour quides were really nice and the main driver and guide was very knowledgeable ! I definitely recommend this trip , the views were stunning 😍

4.00Our tour operators, Ledjon and Anna, were friendly and professional. The meet-up place was easy to find and the tour started and ended on time. I also appreciated Ledjons safe driving. Once we arrived at the Blue Eye and Castle, after a brief introduction, we were left to explore on our own for an hour or so before meeting back at the vehicle. The Blue Eye itself was nice to see but I would not say it was spectacular. Still it was a nice outing. The castle was lovely and provided beautiful views and a nice sunset. We were fortunate to go on the tour in May when there were not large crowds.
