Welcome to the dark side of Bucharest. Close to the Old Town and even in the place where you are having fun in the evening, there are strange things happening. Be aware, there might be some uninvited “locals" joining us for this tour. As this place was inhabited more than 2000 years ago, the city has been a witness to many deaths, murders, mysteries and, if you pay attention, you will hear the voice of the underworld almost everywhere. The tour tells stories of haunted houses and places and of the horror mythology or Romania, an inspiration for the vampires. Oh…let’s not forget Dracula, he also seems to be present here, given his very strong connection with the city and its past.
The tour includes stories from the guides knowledgeable in folklore, mythology and supernatural. They are not costumed and they are not actors performing scary scenes

5.00Tudor was extremely knowledgeable about the history, methodology, stories and events. He could have spoken for hours and was eager to add more stories and answer questions. He also tailored the tour to stories we were interested in making it more personal. Highly recommend!

5.00Had Rareş as the tour guide and it was a fantastic experience. He was really knowledgeable about the myths and I really felt immersed in the Romanian folklore. He would ask at the end of each stop if we had any questions, but I couldn’t even think of any because the way that he would tell stories were so expressive and really drew me in where I couldn’t really think of anything on the spot. I’m a solo traveler and I highly recommend this experience for anyone traveling to Bucharest, this is a must.

5.00Cosmina, our guide, was truly exceptional. She immersed us in the history of Romania and the city of Bucharest: a complicated, at times hard and merciless history. We visited the palaces, squares, and monuments that, with a logical thread, made all this possible, we left knowing we had understood part of the complexity of this land, where the ancient and the modern blend in an absolutely original way.
