Hike with friendly guide to the castle of Kings in a dense forest and marvel one of the best Views in Hungary: the Great Danube Bend. Then go for a hot sauna or to a sandy Danube beach (optional). We elevate 230 meters in 3.5 km, 90 mins.
See the majestic and mighty river as it cuts its way through mountains! Downhill is 50 mins and lunch (optional) at a local restaurant.

The sauna is optinal, if you prefer to miss it or go to a Danube beach, we retrun 15 euro from the fee.
In winter (Dec-Febr) the castle (gglrated 4.7 by 17500 ppl) is open from Fri-Sun , but we can always visit viewterrace (which is the main attraction). In this case I give you back 2500 huf/6 euro.

After pick-up at your accommodation by a private car or minibus we drive an hour to the famous town of Visegrád, once the Capital of Hungary and the headquarters of the Kings. There we leave the car by the Danube river, enter the dense forest of giant, age-old trees and proceed the cca. 90 mins hike to the castle, situated on a high cliff Right Over the River with breathtaking scenery. See the most-famous river of Europe as it cuts its way through mountains! We elevate 230 meters in 3.5 km then arrive at the castle itself, where access and marvel the views. You will have time to take countless photos and optionally visit the wax exhibition of feasting kings, and the museums of hunting and of middle age arms.

Then with 15 mins drive we arrive at the Best SaunaHouse around Budapest, where you can treat yourself after the outdoor adventures and enjoy the hot and elegant ambience. They offer several different sauna rooms: - log sauna (110 Celsius) - Finnish sauna (85 Celsius) - steam bath (85 Celsius) - saulty sauna (50 Celsius) - infralight sauna + 2 Plunge pools to cool off between the sauna sessions. They also have a bar with drinks of all sorts.

Privately guided day out from the city- exercise, sightseeing, sauna all in a day

5.00Thank you Zsolt for a great day out in nature- he will pick you up in his car and you'll have a privately guided hike through the woods. Hike time about 1 hour, not too much elevation gain, and come out to a beautiful valley just before reaching the castle grounds. Be prepared if it's a hot summer day. Visegrad is on a really beautiful spot on the Danube River. We went on a weekday so it was quiet and peaceful there. The lunch stop at a local caf afterwards was casual, hearty traditional home-cooking type dishes, no frills, then we chose the sauna option which was perfect after all the humidity and sun we got earlier- cold plunge pools, indoor and outdoor, alternating with some hot sauna time. You will be out all day, overall a unique excursion away from Budapest.

5.00We loved Zsolt as a tour guide. We had to have been the slowest participants he has ever had, but he was extremely patient! This is a long day excursion and you better be able to do 2 - 80 minute hikes (one being uphill). Zsolt has a nice personality and great knowledge, so he’s the perfect person for this type of activity. My only regret is that I had taken more pics of the castle before reaching the top- small spot about 20 mins before where there is a good view through the trees!

5.00Private ride to hiking spot! Zsolt was an amazing tour guide for the hike @ tour of the castle! Local cuisine for lunch was delicious. Sauna includes multiple saunas & plunges pools-very relaxing after the hike. Highly recommend this tour for a day outside of Budapest

5.00I had an excellent time with Zsolt as my guide. This was my first day in Budapest after over 25 hours of flying. I was looking for an excursion that took me out of the city to nature, an opportunity to get out and hike as well as learn about the country. This trip did exactly that. Zsolt was accommodating, punctual and very Knowledgeable. It was like a day planned with a friend rather than a “tour.” Zsolt was quick to share information that I was interested in or for us to just enjoy nature as we hiked. It was only myself and Zsolt on this trip. After hiking, we had lunch and than went to the saunas before heading back to the city. I highly recommend this trip if hiking, history and a local sauna is what you are looking for. Dana

5.00We have spent a lovely day out there, I didn’t even know that there are sooo beautiful mountains nearby Budapest. The walk was easier than we have expected, so had more time in the castle. Those kings really had a great taste regarding placing their homes! The sauna is exclusive and we recommend this trip. Anita Joey

He was really torough and mindful for everyone's needs. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants to have a tase of hungarian hospitality, culture and all that at a really wallet friendly price. :)

5.00Excellent service, I truly recommend it. Zsolt is a genuinely caring and responsible guide, with lots of knowledge about the places and in general. Very nice combo of excercise and chill afterwards, with some local culture and sightseeing - a perfect day. For a very reasonable price.
