Great / Central Synagogue (Nagy Zsinagoga)
First, we will visit the Dohány Street Synagogue (interior visit), which is the largest in Europe and the second largest in the world.
Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives
You also get a local guided tour in the Jewish Museum, where you see the Hungarian Jewish heritage through a unique collection of art pieces from Hungary and Eastern Europe, and the rich tradition of Judaism, its holidays and everyday life. A separate room commemorates the Hungarian Holocaust.

5.00Excellent tour. Benjamin is an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and lively, and his (American accent) English is amazing for someone who has never lived in the U.S. We did the Grand Tour, and the second synagogue in Secession style is worth seeing. Highly recommend

5.00Ben was prompt, quite knowledgeable & intelligent, engaging….as a local, he was well acquainted with the history of the synagogue and all the sites on visited on the tour. He shared Holocaust stories of families who survived as well as economic and political issues that affected Hungarians past and present.
