Manasija Monastery
You will be impressed by the beautiful scenery, while you enjoy 1.5-hour drive to our first stop – Manasija Monastery, located among the green hills of the vivid Resava gorge. It was built in early 15th century during the reign of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. The whole complex is surrounded by 12 towers, constructed in order to protect Church of Saint Trinity from the Ottomans. The Manasija monastery fortification, with its ramparts and towers, is the best preserved fortification complex on the territory of medieval Serbia. Due to its fresco paintings, which represent one of the greatest achievements of the medieval Serbian art, monastery is believed to be a real jewel of Serbian medieval culture.

5.00If you are lucky enough to have Nina & Milan the driver (apologies if I have the name wrong) you will have a great day. Nina is so enthusiastic and fun, it really made the day. This day was the highlight of our trip and I thoroughly recommend it. The Raki from the back of the car was fun and the lunch stop gave us one of our best meals. The trout and the soft bread with cheese were delicious.

5.00I really enjoyed the Gems of Eastern Serbia tour. The tour was very organised, and everything was communicated very well from start to finish. Jelena was an excellent guide, and she provided lots of useful information and interesting facts throughout the trip. Ljuba was our driver, and he did an excellent job, as our journey was very smooth and comfortable. I also loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout the trip, and I got to learn a great deal about Serbia, and enjoyed its beautiful locations. This was truly a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you very much!

5.00We had an incredible tour with Nina — easily the best tour guide we’ve had on our entire trip so far. She honestly ruined every other tour for us because nobody else could compete with the experience she gave us! Nina was attentive, energetic, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She shared so much interesting and fun information throughout the tour and kept the group engaged the entire time with her lively personality and great energy. She constantly went the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves, even offering us water and taking great care of the group. What really stood out was how thoughtful and attentive she was throughout the experience. She took us to some truly beautiful spots, made everything feel effortless, and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving us the best possible experience. This was easily one of the best tours we’ve done, and Nina set an incredibly high standard.
