  • Fantastic two day visit - family of 4 (kids 15&7)

We (2 adults, 2 kids - 15&7) had a wonderful two day stay - visiting both parks - one day (Friday) at the studios and one day (Saturday) at Disneyland. Saturday was noticeably busier!! Queues were much longer too. As we were limited on time, we opted to ‘pay as you go’ on some rides with wait times over 60 minutes, which worked out cheaper than paying for the premier access pass for the 4 of us, especially since our 7 year old couldn’t go on all the rides). Crush coaster and Thunder were by far our favourites, and the Tower of Terror for our 15 year old. Some rides were closed, one day and open the next. Others seemed under maintenance, but tbh, for two days we had plenty to go at, and missed a lot of the ones in Fantasyland so we could fit in shows and character meets. We don’t feel we missed out. The weather was perfect - day one was over cast but the Saturday was 26 degrees and any hotter would have been tough on the kids. We managed to find some shade at various points which offered some relief, but not all rides (especially in Disneyland) offer shelter. The park was immaculate, and the staff were brilliant. There was one guy stewarding at the splash of colour parade who clearly loves his job! It’s quite something what Disney pull off! We were very impressed. We stayed off site (about 20 min walk) and had no problems with access. We were lucky with the virtual cue system, but you have to be on it. We got to see Anna and Elsa, Ray (Starport) and Nick Wilde (Zootropolis). We were lucky enough to get Mickey but declined that due to attending the Lion King show (which is superb). Be warned, if you don’t book, people queue for 1-3 hours before to get a guaranteed seat on peak days, same with the Belle meet. We randomly met Snow White, Tinana, Aladdin, Captain Hook, captain Jack Sparrow and queued to meet Rafiki and Mando and Grogu, so consider ourselves extremely blessed for our first ever visit. We brought food in with us but did buy the iconic Mickey doughnut and pizza and tbh, I was expecting things to be overpriced, but they weren’t. We had ice creams from the Ice Cream Creamery on Main Street and that was just a fight as they’d just refilled the machine and even though it said don’t serve, the guy did and some we had to drink the ice creams rather than eat them! We didn’t hire a buggy for our 7 year old. We took our pre-scholar sling which did the job for the evening of the fireworks (she’s a small 7). We did the Mickey the Magician show which was brilliant, and attended the Splash of colour parade which was great! The fireworks were a real highlight though - we did not expect it to be as good as it was (just get there early if your bothered about filming it - some people were in place over an hour before and there were some very rude people who clearly care more about their insta worthy shot, than the enjoyment of others). The display, however, reminds you what Walt Disney started, from what started as one stroke of a pencil! Just brilliant!

Disneyland Paris is for europeans so you would think the language would be English but no its all in French , the shows , the ride dialogue , everything . Why the heck does disney continue to invest when this is a big problem for all except the french . We had one experience on star tours where 98% wanted it in english but the two french said no so its in french . Why not have half of star wars and half of tower of terror in english . Next problem was the queues . 60 to 90 mins was normal .. why because of the premier access costing around 16 euro each plus a massive amount of priority disabled . Never seen so many queuing at city hall for the disabled pass . Sure i saw a guy hiring disability chairs for the day which gives one chair and 6 followers priority access . On top of that disney paris has a strange policy of letting a single family member standing in a que and then let other members join . So long queues and next another big big problem , we had 15 breakdown on the rides we were queuing for over 3 days so you in a queue and then get a message broken down so please disperse .. Pathetic .. Disneyland is the same as 20 years ago ( my last visit as do orlando every two years ), the adventure park is a complete diaster and while the new frozen ride is good its not much better than the ride in orlando . Disney paris need to look a t the new harry potter theming in universal to see how its done . I suggest give paris a miss and go to orlando , complete diaster . Roll on universal united Kingdom where english and its priorities will be completely different . Avoid avoid avoid

Disneyland Paris is the coolest place EVER! An early start as we caught the train just up from our Paris apartment. 40 minutes later we had arrived. After finding our bearings, (i.e. getting lost) we made our way into the park. Day one was the Disneyland Park and Day 2 we went into Walt Disney Studios Park, situated next to one another. The colours and sounds are truly magical, and you can’t help but have a smile on your face. The park is spotless and the rides were great. The Avengers ride was super fast and unfortunately, our youngest had to back out at the last minute when she saw the sign that said she needed to take off her glasses. The Big Thunder Mountain ride was the favourite for the kids. They even paid for express access out of their own money. So many things to see and do. Even over 2 days we did not see it all.

It had been 11 years since I last returned to Disneyland Paris. The first time I was a kid (around 8/10 years old), then as an adult (27) on my first trip with my future wife, and again today at 38 with the whole family. Over the years, I had the opportunity to go to Disneyland in Florida (2021). I must say that in this last experience, something was missing in Disneyland Paris. The park is starting to feel the weight of the years, with some attractions that are practically my age and have not been updated. Many were under maintenance and many are under construction. Even the Castle with the main entrance closed and the fencing covering the ongoing work did not help recreate the magic of past experiences. On peak days, one must arm themselves with a FastPass and spend quite a bit of money if they want to avoid spending the day in line. During the week, the lines were more manageable, except for the new Frozen attraction and the Nemo ride, which always has a long line (> 60 minutes). What is lacking in Paris, compared to the American park, is the characterization of the themed areas. In Orlando, when you enter the Star Wars area, you are completely immersed in that world, and the attractions are wonderful, creating a true magical atmosphere for a fan of the series. In Paris, they tried this approach with Frozen, recreating Arendelle, but with very limited space that pales in comparison to the American park. The indoor shows are nice, although many end in the afternoon with the last shows around 5 PM, when they should, in my opinion, continue longer to allow for better management of the day. Restaurants need to be booked well in advance if you want to go to the popular ones (I recommend Chef Remy, where we had a great time, while Walts disappointed us a bit, and Cinderella's restaurant was astounding in service), while to save time and money, you can order through the app at some fast food places. One thing that really annoyed me is the management of the "disability" passes. I find it fair to give the FastPass to pregnant women and/or to those with disabilities, but to the genuine ones, not the fakes! In every attraction, there were an incredible number of fake disabled individuals (very young people without any condition). Moreover, Disneyland should limit the number of companions for the disabled to 1 or 2, not allow groups of people (even 10!) to pass with just one disability pass. It was ridiculous to see three or four families completely skip long lines with only one - fake - disabled person, without a wheelchair and without any necessary assistance. Pregnant women should also be able to skip the line only for attractions they can participate in, not have their 7 or 8 companions skip the line while the pregnant person does not even participate in the attraction. For character meet-and-greets, one must fight with the virtual queue to book them. The one with the princesses ends quickly. You can try to book them at 9:45 AM or 2:00 PM. What can I say, we probably won't return soon, except for any important news, as we definitely prefer the experience in American parks.

Overall, the experience at Disneyland Paris was very positive. The parks are beautiful, well maintained, and succeed in creating unforgettable moments for both children and adults. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and available to assist, contributing to an enjoyable visit. It is hard not to appreciate the magic and atmosphere created throughout the entire resort. However, there are some aspects that could be improved. Firstly, I felt the lack of clearer information, both at the entrance of attractions and in the Disney app itself, regarding the intensity level of certain rides. Some attractions may not be suitable for people with heart conditions, hypertension, or other health issues, and this information is not always displayed in a sufficiently visible way. The same applies to small children, as although entry is allowed to some attractions, the intensity of the experience is clearly not suitable for all of them. Another point is the pricing in shops and restaurants. The prices are quite high and, in the case of dining, the food quality does not always match the cost, which ends up affecting the overall perception of the experience. Finally, I believe some policies should be reconsidered. In a destination where the weather is often unstable and rain is predictable, it does not seem reasonable that disposable rain ponchos are sold for around 13 euros when they cost 1 euro in any shop outside the parks. It gives the impression that there is an attempt to capitalize on a momentary necessity of visitors, which contrasts with the otherwise positive experience provided by the rest of the park. Despite these criticisms, the visit was very enjoyable and remains a destination I would recommend to families looking to create special memories.

Very bad! Endless waits only to end up with daily breakdowns on the mine train, the same goes for the Avengers, up to the Lion King show where the audience had to be evacuated after 65 minutes of waiting! The park has changed a lot. As for Frozen, nothing exceptional. The old Sequoia hotel does not deserve its 3 stars; fortunately, it is under renovation, but in the meantime, we are paying full price.

The hotel and tickets was around £500 for one person. Was my first ever solo trip but did not feel self conscious about being solo at all! Overall a good and memorable trip to both parks. Although I think I had (maybe naively) underestimated how busy and queue heavy the parks can be. I completely understand that it can't be helped but perhaps some things could be changed to help. For context my son is 4 so we hadn't wanted to go on bigger rides, the character encounters, shows and smaller rides were more ideal for us as a family. I've seen some people suggest occasional adult-only days or events at the parks, and I can understand this. Everyone is entitled to enjoy Disney, whether visiting with children or not. However, it was disappointing to see young children miss out on rides and popular character experiences. We met a family whose daughter was incredibly excited to meet Elsa and Anna but wasn't able to secure a slot on the app. Meanwhile, some of the limited character sessions were made up of several adult-only groups. While everyone has the right to enjoy these experiences, it did feel unfortunate when some young children, who are predominantly the target audience for these characters, were unable to meet them. Food, staff and shows We were pleasantly surprised at the choice of food and drinks in the parks and also the prices, we anticipated they would be high but they weren't bad considering it's Disneyland. Queuing for food also wasn't bad and in general the staff were pleasant. The cast members during the character meets were always very engaging and friendly. Also my son loved the parades and shows. We got a good spot by the castle and enjoyed the Stars of Disney parade which is the opportunity to see lots of characters and also the Pixar musical. Character experiences The character experiences we did have were very interactive. Woody, Jessie and Spider-Man were particular highlights, with Spider-Man taking the time to ask my son his name and age, which helped him feel more relaxed. The cast members were consistently friendly and engaging, and I appreciated the effort they made to create special moments for children. I also think the app and virtual queue system has its place. It worked well for us, allowing us to secure character meet-and-greet slots on each of the three days we visited while still being able to enjoy other attractions rather than spending hours standing in line - I am grateful for this as I know many others missed out on securing slots. However, I was surprised by how limited the overall character meets were. I had expected there to be more opportunities to meet many more characters throughout the parks, perhaps unplanned spontaneous appearances throughout the park would be a nice addition. I thought we might see characters such as Olaf, Buzz, more Avengers, more Pixar characters, Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck or Daisy Duck. Our biggest disappointment was the Minnie Mouse meet-and-greet. The only opportunity to meet Minnie was through the "Minnie Mouse or Friends" experience. Having visited Disneyland as a child myself, I remember Mickey and Minnie being much more accessible, either together or through separate meet-and-greets. We queued for around an hour, alongside another family whose young daughter was equally excited to meet Minnie. When we finally reached the front, Minnie rotated out and was replaced by Clarabelle Cow. I completely understand that character breaks and rotations are necessary, and others handled this by simply swapping cast members while keeping the same character available. However, changing from Minnie to a completely different character felt disappointing, particularly as this is the only advertised opportunity to meet Minnie. Neither my 4-year-old son nor the young girl ahead of us recognised her and both children were quite unsettled by the less familiar, unexpected character. Although Disney are covered by the "Minnie Mouse or Friends" wording, it does mean that meeting Minnie ultimately comes down to luck, which feels frustrating when she is one of the park's most iconic characters - see number of Minnie merchandise available in most of the shops on site! She does make several appearances in the shows and parades across both parks but for an individual meet and great it seems this is the only option. Rides and queues One disappointment for us was that my son was particularly excited to experience Ratatouille and Frozen, yet we didn't manage to ride either attraction during our visit. We could have joined the queues, but wait times were often so long that it would have meant spending a significant portion of the day standing in line rather than enjoying the parks and other attractions. The app is useful for checking wait times, but I do wonder whether there could be better solutions for the busiest rides. Whether that's virtual queues, more interactive entertainment while waiting, or capping the queue times. World of Frozen The World of Frozen is lovely with some really nice details which makes it more immersive. We also enjoyed the Frozen show one afternoon. That said, the area was extremely busy throughout our stay, which made it feel very crowded and less enjoyable. I suspect the area will feel much better once the wider park expansion is completed, as visitors will likely be spread more evenly across the resort. Disneyland Park Arriving in the morning and seeing Mickey waving from the balcony was a lovely touch. We later secured a virtual queue slot to meet Mickey, which was a highlight too. We headed straight to Discoveryland and managed to ride Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, although it's a shame that there isn't a Buzz Lightyear meet-and-greet! Other family favourites included Casey Jr. Circus Train, Storybook Land Canal Boats and, It's a Small World. Queue times for these attractions were much more manageable, allowing us to enjoy them multiple times. The layout of Disneyland Park also felt more natural and easier to navigate. Each themed land flows nicely into the next, whereas Adventure World currently feels more divided, perhaps because parts of the expansion are still ongoing. Despite being busy, Disneyland Park felt less crowded and more balanced overall.

I was disappointed with my experience at Disneyland Paris. I visited on two separate days, spending one day in each park. The rides and shows were enjoyable and were the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected my experience. Many restrooms had long lines, and I encountered multiple bathroom stalls that were missing toilet seats. The most concerning issue occurred on the evening of June 3 at a small waffle stand in Adventureland. While ordering, I used Google Translate on my phone and heard staff members making comments about me that I understood as mocking and disrespectful. The employees laughed, which made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed during my visit. Disney is known for creating a welcoming environment for guests from all backgrounds, so this experience was particularly disappointing. I hope Disneyland Paris improves both facility maintenance and staff training to ensure all guests are treated with respect.

Disneyland Paris was extremely disappointing. The queues for rides were ridiculously long all day, and the paid fast-track option is far too expensive. There was only one bag drop open, creating another huge queue before entering the park. Even food service was poorly managed, with only one hot food queue open. Very poor value for money and not the experience I expected.
