5.00I didn't realize there were multiple, different waterfall areas of the El Yunque Rainforest. This tour is to the Las Pailas part of the rainforest. We enjoyed two waterfalls in this area. One is bigger than the other. The big one has twists and turns. The smaller one is straight down into the water. I saw little kids going down the smaller one. Both were beautiful and you could swim in them. Going down the steps and through the trail to the Las Pailas waterfalls wasn't bad. Coming back up the steps after enjoying the falls and swimming was a real workout on the legs. Our first stop before the falls was the La Frutera Flores roadside eatery. We had the ribs with amazing BBQ sauce and the chicken. Very good food choices. The price was very affordable for all of the food they gave us. We also got watermelon. It was sweet; not too sweet but just sweet enough. After the falls we went to the beautiful Luquillo Beach. There are food stands and souvenir shops in front of the beach. Very convenient if you are hungry or want to get souvenirs while you are there. There is a guy walking the beach with trained parakeets. You can take a picture with them for a fee. The pictures are amazing. I highly recommend taking the pictures. Our driver was Richard. He provided life jackets to those who needed it. He took the pictures and videos of us while we enjoyed the falls and sent them to us via WhatsApp. We appreciated that. He didn't have any water for us however he did give us extra time on the beach which was also appreciated. I would take the tour again with Richard. The price is fair based on the time we spent on the tour.
