Pallay Punchu is the third rainbow mountain in Cusco, after Vinicunca and Palcoyo, which has become very popular on social media. It is made up of spectacular sharp edges and is still uncrowded, so don't miss taking at least a day to explore this new and exceptional place southeast of the imperial city.

Pallay Poncho
This fascinating adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel. We will take you on a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Cusipata for an energizing breakfast. Then, we will continue by road towards Sicuani, appreciating the great blue lagoon of Langui in the distance, which stretches for more than 15 km; we will pass close to its shores before continuing to the starting point in Layo. Once there, we will begin a challenging uphill hike for approximately two hours. We will walk through a path full of grasslands, impressive reddish soils, accompanied by the typical fauna of the area: alpacas, llamas, and if we are lucky, we will see kestrels, peregrine falcons or the famous condor flying in the air. When we reach Pallay Punchu del Apu Taqllo, which translated from Quechua means “woven poncho”, you will be able to climb the ridges and feel like you are flying over the surface of another planet.

The guide Wilbert was my best guide i ever had, he was attentif of our need, very polite, he help me with , how to do with the altitude, he took us me and my wife a lot of beautiful pictures and he send me those pictures on whapp sap.We were threated as a king and queen. One of our best journey of my life. Thank's to my guide Wilbert ( the best).

5.00Amazing tour with Danny in Pallay Punchu. I can say with ownership that the private tour I had with Danny and the whole company, along with the private driver, was noted ten. Extremely professional, super attentive and sought-after in all the help from the start to the end of the tour. I was picked up at the hotel, as scheduled on schedule, then took me for a boosted breakfast and also had a spectacular lunch included in the tour. Peruvian food, of the highest quality. About the tour, I researched a lot before closing with any company and this one surprised me. Danny, the guide, I recommend with closed eyes, have the opportunity to visit Pallay Punchu with him. Extremely kind, requested and removed me all doubts during the journey. Up to the top of the mountain we did a classic Peruvian ceremony. He shared the story about the mountain, especially the whole journey to it as well. Of all the tours to Pallay Punchu here on TripAdvisor, I recommend this here, without a shadow of doubt, and ask to do with the guide Danny. Unique experience. I recommend!

5.00Not many tourists go to Pallay Punchu yet, so it felt wild and untouched. The private guide gave us time to rest, take pictures, and just enjoy the moment. The colors of the mountain looked unreal, especially under the afternoon sun.

5.00We started the trip super early, and watching the sunrise over the Andes was magical. The private service made everything comfortable, a good car, a warm breakfast, and a guide who really cared. The hike wasn’t easy, but every step was rewarded with breathtaking views.
