Bit foggy the day we went and if I am honest it’s not the most picturesque of places to visit. Drive there is very rural India but more genuine. Saw a few birds, 3 different kingfishers which was worth the trip alone but aside from that not a plethora of sightings, maybe wrong time of year. Driver was good and guide enthusiastic and despite the language barrier it was informative. Didn’t need to see the local villages that we were taken round. Maybe worth a visit if you have time.

A huge lake, lots of birds, flamingos, egrets, kingfishers, herons, storks, black ducks. Didn’t have lots of time at the lake but overall enjoyed the experience with the driver and our guide! Trip to Women’s Crafts on the way back.

The guide picked us up at the agreed time punctually, and from that moment until we arrived at the lake he described each type of bird that was seen. It was evident that he was a tremendously motivated and prepared person on the subject. It is a totally recommendable experience.
