  The walk with Luca as our guide was a highlight of our trip to Takayama. We walked through the old town and learned the complex history of the area. Luca was a dream guide, giving us tips on what to visit and where to eat. A joy. Highly recommended.

  The tour was really interesting and informative and the host was great! Luca showed us around a section of Takayama and told us about the history of the town and lots of other interesting facts. I wish we could do a tour in person, but this virtual tour was just as good.

  Luca has lived in Japan for many years and knows a lot about many things. I was able to discover places otherwise I wouldn't, staying comfortably at home while he was fighting with rain and wind to show me Takayama. He is well prepared well and passionate, he knows what is he talking about. During the tour, which has a very affordable price, he gave me an exposition of the main historical aspects of the city, telling how politics and the commerce had a remarkable role in the history of the city. I recommend Luca because otherwise you risk losing important knowledge. Instead with him you can understand certain picturesque or historical aspects, such as the shape of the houses or why this relatively small town deserves your attention and plays an important role in Japan history. A tour that is not a postcard but takes you to an authentic, very interesting place.

  Due to the impact of corona, we have conducted an online tour to continue the occupational restraint. We were guided in both English and Japanese, but we were able to enjoy the tour with detailed explanations so that even I, who is not familiar with history, could understand it! It was like walking and sightseeing together because I was walking outside. He also switched cameras and enjoyed the alpine scenery. Recommended for those who are not able to go out yet or those who are far away.

  Luca is a trained, engaging and above all very helpful tour guide in answering all the questions and curiosities of the case. I personally took the online tour of Takayama city and found it magical. Despite the period we are going through, where getting around is not yet an option, this tour allowed me to travel to discover Japan, immersing myself in its millennial culture and getting lost in the streets of Takayama, just as if I were there. I can't wait to be able to really visit Japan, I will definitely contact the Friend of the Solevant as a guide, because I know he also deals with other cities! Highly recommended.

  Today I took a nice online tour of the pretty city of Takayama with the LVCA guide. A city with a beautiful old town, which seems suspended in time and emanates ancient traditions from every corner. The LVCA guide proved more than courteous by answering my every question, and demonstrating a remarkable knowledge of the place and the history of the city, without ever falling into the didactic but rather adopting a simple and never boring language. I could admire the traditional architecture of the center with its sake shops, the shelters where the floats or Yatai of the famous Takayama Festival are stored, and the Nakabashi Bridge over the Miyagawa River. A really interesting experience, which made me want to visit this lovely place as soon as possible. In these times where unfortunately borders are closed, I highly recommend to make this online tour to be able to start dreaming of new destinations to reach, as soon as possible. Takayama you will be mine!...Banzai

  A great online tour of the famous old town in Takayama, Japan. The tour guide Luca shows you around, tells you about the history of the town and Japan and, of course, answers all your questions! He‘s a very friendly and knowledgable guy who speaks English, Italian and Japanese. The picturesque old town is amazing ! He‘ll also show you some sake breweries and the place where the huge ‚floats‘ are kept for the Takayama festival twice a year. On request he can also show you the famous Hida village in an extended tour. Anyway I had a very interesting and fun Online tour (the first one for me) of an original (not rebuilt !!) jap. Old town from the comfort of my home ! I absolutely recommend the tour AND the guide !!
