Banyan Drive
Start the adenture towards Hawaii Volcanoes National Park driving through the historical Banyan Drive- a tree-lined street at the shoreline of Hilo, Hawaii. It is known as the "Hilo Walk of Fame" for the banyan trees planted by celebrities. These trees have withstood several tsunamis that have devastated the town on the Big Island of Hawaii. Lili'uokalani Gardens
Blink and you may think you’re in Japan as you stroll through peaceful Liliʻuokalani Gardens, named after Hawaiʻi's last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. Located on Hilo's Banyan Drive, this authentic, 24.67-acre Japanese garden was dedicated in 1917 as a tribute to Hawaiʻi's first Japanese immigrants who worked in the island of Hawaiʻi's sugar cane fields. This beautifully landscaped park features arching bridges over fishponds, rock gardens, pagodas, Japanese stone lanterns and a teahouse. Views of Hilo Bay and Mokuola (Coconut Island) enhance this peaceful setting. With so much to see, this is a popular park for families to explore while they’re visiting the Hilo area.

5.00We had a wonderful day on our private tour of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from our cruise ship, thanks to Katelynn! From start to finish, everything was smooth, well organized, and stress-free. Katelynn was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. She answered all of our questions with patience and shared so much interesting information about the volcanoes, the island, and the local history. The scenery was absolutely incredible, and having a private tour allowed us to explore at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. Katelynn made sure we saw all the highlights while also tailoring the experience to our interests. It was truly one of the best days of our cruise, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hawaii by ship. Thank you, Katelynn, for such a memorable experience!

5.00Henry was incredible. He started the tour a few minutes early and we stayed ahead of the cruise ship excursion buses all day. Toured downtown a little then off to volcano natl park. We went all around the park including the lava fields on the back side. We finished the day walking through a lava tube

1.00Horrible experience, our tour guide, Donald knew little about Hawaii and the places my family and I were visiting. It was very unprofessional, we were quite literally picked up in an unmarked minivan in a park and the thought occured to me that "we could be getting kidnapped right now and it would be this exact sitaution." Quite frankly the car smelled of something. He had no overall schedule and just did whatever. We went to a few place, most of the time was spent driving, and for the price, it wasn't worth it. I found that we would visit random and obscure places, we would chat for several minutes while standing there, then drive 45 minutes to the next place. He had about as much idea about what was happening as we did. It could've been $200 and still not worth it. Could've gone to the one or two cool places ourselves and saved a lot of money.

5.00This was a private tour with the tour guide picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. We toured Hilo and the active volcano. The tour guide stopped at various stops (ones he knew and the ones we asked). He was very polite, patient, and very accommodating. He always dropped us off at the front entrances then parked his car. I highly recommend Donald M. when traveling to the Hawaii Big Island (Named Hawaii).

5.00We had a nice tour with Dramma our tour guide. She picked us up very close to the port and gave us a nice tour of the Hilo area. The highlight was Volcanoes National Park where we arrived just in time to see a bit of lava flow. Dramma was super nice and gave an informative and interesting history of the area. Highly recommend!

5.00Our tour guide, Dramma, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and laid back. She made the tour super fun. We were there with our young adult kids and the whole family thoroughly enjoying it. We saw some things that we would not have seen if we went out in our own. I would highly recommend this tour and if I could give Dramma 5 1/2 stars I would! We have done a lot of private tours and she was definitely one of the best!!!
