A cruise aboard The Tall Ship Silva is the perfect way to fully appreciate a beautiful day on the Halifax Harbour. Join us on our comfortable and thoroughly impressive vessel for this relaxing afternoon outing on the water. Your journey beings on the Halifax waterfront as you set off into the big harbour where you’ll have a unique perspective of some of Halifax’s most notable landmarks including Georges Island, the Halifax Waterfront, Historic Properties, and more. Passengers will be invited to help the crew hoist the Silva’s sails, enjoy a beverage or two from the onboard Murphy’s Pub, and then simply sit back, relax and enjoy a beautiful day out on the water.

Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair (washrooms are below deck and are accessed by stairs)

No Musician Duration: 3 hours: 3 Hour tour on the Tall Ship Silva departing from Race Day Route: Starting from Bedford and going as far as the Halifax Naval Docks to give folks a great viewing spot of the Sailing Race Departing Area : Tour will be departing and ending in Bedford . Tour will depart from 200 Waterfront Drive.

3.00The ticket is not clear about the departure, causing some confusion for many who went to the wharf in downtown Halifax. The race veiwing is distant and oblique and involves constant rotation of the ship, which departed the race prior to the end. The staff were very helpful and as aboat ride it is reasoable but if one wants to watch the race, consider a different option

1.00They announced they would be raising sails then never did. Did not announce they would not be using sails, we asked and found out. Crew member said "too rough" yet smaller sailboats were out using their sails. Then we were told they would normally use motors still even when using sails. Sails were more for decoration?

5.00It was an amazing experience. Very nice tour on the sail boat. Really worth it. The staff was professional and very friendly and live music was amazing. Make sure to dress warm. Beautiful tour and highly recommend

4.00It’s still a great experience. Although it was quite packed, I enjoyed it overall. There were already a lot of people standing and sitting close together. I’ve done this twice, and on the second trip they raised the sails, which added to the fun. I hope that next time there’s enough room for everyone to enjoy the view while also being comfortable.
