For customers with a Japan Rail Pass traveling from Kyoto or Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima Station, please be sure to board a Shinkansen departing early enough for you to reach the meeting location (Hotel Granvia Hiroshima lobby) and arrive by the meeting time. Customers who do not arrive by the meeting time cannot join the tour

Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats. If bus seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate.
Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.

Itsukushima Shrine
A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.
Miyajima
Time for lunch is allotted on Miyajima. This region is known for oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowl, which are available at many shops on Miyajima. Customers are free to enjoy their preferred meals. *Lunch is not included in the tour booking charge.

5.00It rained the entire day but that didn’t ruin our day with our fabulous guide Kay! Her English was wonderful and she gave us so much information on the bus and throughout the tour. Our train ran late but everything ran smoothly we didn’t miss anything which was much appreciated. My favourite part of the day was the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. The only fault was it wasn’t enough time and we didn’t want to leave. would highly recommend and would do another tour with Kay or Sunshine Tours.

5.00We had an incredible experience with our tour guide, Takeshi, a Hiroshima local who brought both Miyajima and the Peace Memorial Park to life for our family. His knowledge was outstanding. He shared history, stories, and local insights in a way that was both meaningful and easy to understand. What really stood out was how well he connected with my two boys (aged 15 and 10). Keeping teenagers engaged for a full-day tour is no easy feat, but Takeshi managed it effortlessly with his friendly personality and interactive approach. The balance between education and enjoyment was perfect, and we walked away with a much deeper appreciation of Hiroshima’s history and culture. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you can book it with Takeshi. He truly made our day unforgettable.
