One day before our guide will contact you and get the location of your hotel or any accommodation in Baku. Gabala is 216 km from Baku. On the way to Gabala, our first stop will be Shamakhi City which was the ancient capital of Shirvansah's reign. Juma mosque which is considered the oldest mosque in Azerbaijan will be visited in Shamakhi. After reaching Gabala city guests will taste delicious lunch at the traditional restaurant. You can enjoy nature walking around Nohur Lake, or take a boat or catamaran ride. Tufandagh Mountain Resort is the most popular touristic place in Gabala. Guests can get a cable car and go to the top of Tufandagh Mountain. Winter Season Resort became a skiing resort as well. 7 beauties Waterfalls will be our last stop in Gabala. On the way to the waterfall, we will change our minivan to a Soviet Lada car and experience an off-road trip

Juma Mosque
Juma Mosque of Shamakhi or Friday Mosque is a mosque in the city of Shamakhi, Azerbaijan.Construction date of the mosque- 743-744 relies on research of a geological commission coming from Tiflis, which was led by prince Shahgulu Qajar. This date was defined with Arabic ligature on the facade of the Friday Mosque, stating the year 126 according to Islamic calendar as the establishment year.Just in this period the construction of new religious buildings – mosques – was begun in the territory of Azerbaijan. Historical appearance of ancient Islamic architectural monuments was related to Arabs’ governance and spreading of Islam in the territory of Azerbaijan. Friday Mosque of Shamakhi is considered the first mosque in the Caucasus after cathedral Friday Mosque of Derbent, which was constructed in 734.

5.00Today, 26.06.2026, my friends and I went on a tour to Gabala and it was one of the most wonderful days! 😍 We loved absolutely everything from start to finish. A special thanks goes to our guide and driver. Very kind, polite and sympathetic people! Throughout the trip, they were there, explaining everything in detail, helping with ticket purchases, telling us where to go, and even solving our little problems, like helping us queue for a photo shoot. Thanks to their care and professionalism, the trip was as comfortable as possible and left only the most pleasant experience. 5.00We had a wonderful overall experience and would happily do this tour again. A special thank you goes to our tour guide, Mehebbet, who truly impressed us with his friendly and helpful nature. He took plenty of time for us, answered all of our questions, and never made us feel like we had to hurry. This allowed us to explore everything in a relaxed way and really enjoy the atmosphere. We also really appreciated how he shared interesting facts and little details that we probably would have missed otherwise. He was always patient and adjusted to our pace throughout the tour. I was traveling with my younger sister, and as two girls, we felt safe and well looked after at all times, which was very important to us. Our tip: definitely ask questions – he genuinely takes the time to explain everything clearly and in detail. We’re very grateful that he was our guide and would recommend this tour with him anytime!

5.00We had a really great experience and can absolutely recommend this tour. We would especially like to highlight our tour guide, Mehebbet. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. What we appreciated most was that he took his time to answer all of our questions in detail and never made us feel rushed. We were able to explore everything at our own pace and truly enjoy the places we visited – which makes a huge difference. Mehebbet also shared many interesting background details that you wouldn’t easily find elsewhere. At the same time, he was very relaxed and adapted well to our pace. I was traveling with my little sister, and as two girls, we felt very safe and well taken care of the entire time. That was really important to us and made the experience even more enjoyable. A small tip: take the opportunity to ask him questions – he really takes the time to explain everything clearly. I’m very grateful that he was our tour guide. The experience definitely wouldn’t have been the same without him!

5.00My trip was booked by Baku City Tours and it was a very enjoyable ride from Baku with wonderful mountain views and scenery. Tufandag Mountain Resort was the main highlight!! It started hailing just as we arrived- a first- time magical experience for my family members and me. The cable car ride offered stunning views of a snow-filled landscape! A perfect mix of adventure and wonder!

5.00Brilliant day with Mehebbet. Fanatic driver, excellent English, very knowledgable - and lovely company. Took the many sights and stops at our pace. Great value for a private tour. Affordable and memorable! Prepare for thrilling off road extra at the volcanoes… and some top history and photo opportunities. Leaned a lot. Made some memories.
