Goðafoss Waterfall & Geothermal Baths tour is the perfect introductory tour to North Iceland. We start the tour in Akureyri in Eyjafjord and drive the coastline to Grenjaðarstaður Turfhouse Heritage Museum. There we get insight into the heritage and history of the area, experiencing how people used live. Next, we head towards Goðafoss Waterfall. After experiencing the power of the Skjálfandafljót glacier river and capturing the picturesque waterfall we head back to the Forrest Lagoon in Eyjafjordur for a relaxing soak to end the tour.

Godafoss Waterfall in Skjálfandafljót River. The waterfall is a popular stop in Iceland as it is very picturesque and majestic. Travel time to this attraction is about 30 minutes.

Great guide. Talked enough but not too much. All stops were quite enjoyable especially the Forest Lagoon.

5.00Interesting and relaxing, the Forest Lagoon Baths were a highlight of our trip! Michael was an excellent guide who was able to miss the crowds at Godafoss Waterfall and was full of interesting facts/information about Icelandic history, culture and way of life. The Waterfall was beautiful, and even better that we had the place to ourselves! Forest Lagoon baths is gorgeous, steamy and relaxing; and truly was the best experience even when it started to rain, the waters were the perfect temperature. Highly recommended tour and even nicer when Saga picked us up and delivered us back to port.

5.00We had a great trip with Hilmar, informative and humorous. The peat houses were exciting to visit, the Godafoss waterfall was breathtaking and the time in the forest lagoon super relaxing, especially in the cold weather!

5.00Our tour operator was very easy to find, they are in the port, in kiosk, right as you get off the ship. They even escorted us to the bus as there are many buses. Runar, our tour guide, was very friendly and had great commentary. The Turf House Museum and church were very interesting. The Godafoss Falls were amazing. The Forest Lagoon was beautiful and very relaxing. There was adequate time at each stop to take in the amazing views and get pictures.

5.00We enjoyed all of the stops on this tour. The museum was nice to see. The waterfall was beautiful. The highlight was the Forest Lagoon geothermal spa. We could have spent several more hours there.

5.00Excellent tour of the waterfall, the turf homes and the spa. For us, it was just the right amount of time at each, well maybe a little longer at the turf homes would have been better. We had the option of being dropped off in the center of town, rather than at the boat, which saved us some walking. Highly recommended
