Experience dolphins in Mauritius in a unique and respectful way. During this guided kayak tour you'll observe wild bottlenose and spinner dolphins quietly, in their natural habitat. Start your morning at our base in Tamarin, where your guide will introduce you to kayaking and safety essentials. No previous experience is required. As the sun rises over the west coast, paddle into the calm waters of Tamarin Bay, one of the best places to encounter dolphins in Mauritius. Moving silently by kayak, you’ll have the chance to witness these incredible animals naturally, without disturbance. Spend around two hours exploring the bay with your guide. If dolphins are present, you’ll approach them respectfully, following strict guidelines to ensure a safe and ethical interaction. Unlike many boat tours, our approach is designed to minimize impact on wildlife: No chasing or disturbing dolphins Quiet, non-motorized approach Small groups Respectful observation only Important note: Dolphins are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If they are not present, your guide will take you along an alternative route exploring the Tamarin River, known for its birdlife and peaceful setting.

5.00We had such an amazing experience kayaking with the doplphins. Our guide Gilles knew exactly where they would be and made sure that we were taken care of through out the trip. He also took great pictures for us.

4.00We had a lovely experience watching the sunset over Tamarin Bay. Although we didn’t get to see any dolphins that day, our guide Theo did an amazing job at making the trip enjoyable and memorable. The only thing I would have appreciated was having a plan B in case the dolphins didn’t appear. I understood beforehand that sightings aren’t guaranteed, but it would have been nice to have the option to kayak around the bay or river instead of waiting. Overall, I would still recommend this experience, especially as a unique way to try to see dolphins in their natural environment. But if you’re mainly interested in the kayaking aspect, you may want to consider a different tour option.

5.00We had a great experience with our guide Eliza. She did a great job and we were able to see some monkeys at the river. Unfortunately, the waves were too high for the dolphins, so we took the alternative route along the Tamarin River, which was also very beautiful.

5.00Had the most incredible kayak trip watching dolphins—truly an unforgettable experience! Theo was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and made everything feel easy and special. Being out on the water like that was pure magic. What made it even better was how close we got to the dolphins—it felt so natural and respectful, nothing like crowded boat trips. The views of the coastline were absolutely stunning too. Honestly, I’d do this again in a heartbeat. Way better than any boat tour I’ve ever done—highly recommend!

5.00We had a wonderful morning with the guide Gilles! He was an amazing guide, who explained a lot about the nature, the animals and the flora and fauna. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins, a wonderful sunrise, some of heavy rain - wich was actually very fun - and a great trip on the tamarin river. We would recommend this tour a 100%. 5.00I did the guided 2 hour kayak tour with Dolphins with Yanature in February 2026. I definitely recommend it, amazing experience! Beautiful landscapes in the bay, a great guide, Yudish, explaining everything and taking so many pictures of the group, which are now great memories. And seeing the dolphins from a kayak is a unique experience: you can be really close to them without scaring or harming them, observing and being part of those magic moments in a respectful way. Unforgettable!

5.00We went kayaking with Eliza, she was a wonderful guide. You wake up with the sun, in the calm barely shaken by the sound of the waves. I recommend doing the activity at the beginning of your stay you will leave with lots of valuable advice and beautiful address recommended by your guide! Thanks again to Eliza for brightening our holidays with her smile, it is certainly beautiful memories that we bring back with us.
