5.00Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. My guide Tarun from Adventure Holiday Tours picked me up right on time from my hotel in Ljubljana, and the scenic 90-minute drive to Istria was comfortable, safe, and full of interesting stories about the region. At Miro Tartufi, I was welcomed with delicious local herbal drinks before meeting the real stars of the day—Lila, an experienced black Lab, and Jacky, an adorable Lagotto Romagnolo. Watching them eagerly search the forest for black truffles was such a joy, and seeing Lila find the first truffle (and patiently wait for her reward!) was a real highlight. The truffle tasting afterward was simply outstanding. We enjoyed local cheeses, smoked sausages, olive oils, butter, spreads, and so much more, all featuring truffles. The scrambled eggs made with the truffles we had just found, were absolutely delicious, and the birthday cake with truffle honey and fresh shaved truffles was the perfect ending. I couldn’t resist taking home a few of the amazing products as gifts. This experience was authentic, fun, delicious, and something I’ll never forget. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food and unique local experiences!
