We were put in relation with Necip Edis after filing a request through the Finland Local Guide website for a private walking tour of Helsinki (with a extension to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress), Poorvoo and Tallinn during our 3 days stay in Helsinki. He answered very promptly and was very helpful in tailoring an offer to suit all our needs. The combined voucher included airport pick-up and transfers, a stay in a wonderful 5 star hotel perfectly located a few blocks away from the city center (Lilla Roberts) and all travel tickets and fares (for tram, buses, ferry + private car to and back from Poorvoo). We had the most wonderful time meeting Necip and wandering about with him, taking in all relevant information about the cities we visited and enjoying his kind, attentive and very pleasant company. Necip was always keen on picking up on our interests rather than drowning us under too many details, and although he is not originally from Finland (being Turkish) he knows and understands the country perfectly so that proved an awesome way to learn about the Finnish way of life - quite different from anything we knew coming from the Mediterranean region. He also rightly suggested we extend our tour to Tallinn, and although the tour there was performed by another local guide agency he works with, it was very enjoyable and we spent a delightful and very interesting day with so much to see. Don't hesitate to call on him if you should plan a trip to Helsinki - he can also advise and organise your stay in Lapland where you will be able to experience the wild side of Finland. We spent a week in Hossa national park prior to the cultural part of our trip and this is an absolute dream combination!!! Thank you again Necip for this wonderful time, everything was perfect and we came back with unforgettable memories. Ps. when in Helsinki, don't miss the cinammon rolls at Café Regatta, they are a must.

We booked a private shore excursion with Nick. We were picked up in a minibus for just the 5 of us and met Nick at Sibelius monument (amazing!), then on to Porvoo, which is the 2nd oldest town in Finland. It has narrow cobblestone streets and so much charm! We stopped in a small cafe for some local treats. Then back to Helsinki for a quick tour. Had a local lunch inside an old food hall and visited the outdoor market, senate square and the incredible Rock church! There's not a whole lot to see, as far as sightseeing. Any major sights were so full of the many passengers from ships docked that day. Nick and Stephan (driver) were so knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. Their English was easy to understand. Nick even treated us to some local ice cream! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Finland. I would highly recommend them!
