This award-winning Krakow tour will cover all of the highlights of Krakow Old Town and Wawel Castle.
The small fee you pay to Viator is a booking fee to secure your place on the tour. On the day, you will join our donations-based tour. Our guides work for contributions at the end. The amount you donate is entirely up to you.
We meet in front of the towers of St Mary's Basilica in Krakow Old Town main square. Look for the Blue 'City Walks Krakow' umbrella.
On the tour, you'll visit the beautiful Krakow Old Town and majestic Wawel Castle. You'll learn about Krakow's most important historical figures, including Pope John Paul II and Nicolaus Copernicus. You'll hear the stories of Krakow's most famous residents—the Krakow Dragon and the St. Mary's Basilica trumpeter.

5.00An excellent walking tour about 3 hrs in total including a great coffee stop. Blake - our guide was extremely knowledgeable on locations and history. Some great historic sites visited at a really good pace. Also gave lots of recommendations (non-sponsored) for other places to visit, eat etc. would highly recommend and worthy of a generous donation.

5.00Fascinating insights into Krakow history with useful tips and options for sights and restaurants off the beaten track. There is much more to do in Krakow than appears on major web searches and I wish we had more time.

5.00It was a great tour which we booked last minute, as we had time to kill before our flight home. I’d definitely recommend this to others, but at the start of their stay in Krakow as we were given useful tips and recommendations of things to do along the way. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. I would say it was slightly too long and probably didn’t need the break before the end.

5.00Really excellent tour given by Dale. Very well paced and covered a huge amount of information about the city, it's history and what to do around town when the tour was finished. We're sorry that we missed the sister tour around Kazimierz in the afternoon, I'm sure it would have also been excellent. The tour itself is actually free (the €3 you pay here is a booking fee) and the guides make the majority of their income with tips, so make sure to bring some cash along. Definitely do the tour in the first part of your visit, it'll set you up with loads more of ideas of what to do with your time in Kraków.

5.00Dale was a great guide! A Brit with light, understandable accent 🤓, he was really informative, watched out for our group well, and did a great job sharing both the history and legends of Krakow! Right length of tour. Our two teens enjoyed it, too….so much so that one of them opted in for the afternoon Jewish Quarter tour, too! Gives great overall background for your Krakow stay!!

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed the Historic Krakow: Old Town & Wawel Castle walking tour and would thoroughly recommend it. Karolina was a very entertaining guide with lots of local knowledge and anecdotes about the city which made for a fun tour. She also pointed out places of interest that we may wish to visit later, would highly recommend a visit to the Church of St Francis of Assisi. The tour finishes at Wawel Castle where you can explore further or grab some lunch at your leisure. We did the walking tour on our first day and it is a great way to orientate yourself in the City.

5.00This tour was very good to get a quick history of Poland and of the city. Great guide, Rudolph, was very engaging and took us on a very enjoyable tour of the old town and castle. Overall, very good tour.
