I have decided to make the bicycle my means of transportation in my daily life, so I have been able to get to know the city in detail and it is precisely what I invite you to know: a green, modern, cosmopolitan and super important, historical city.
In addition to being a bicycle and nature enthusiast, I am a general history lover and a superhost with more than 1,200 reviews on Airbnb, so I would like to share with you my experience, as well as relevant data from both Guatemala and all the countries represented in squares.

MEETING POINT AND DEPARTURE. We meet at address 17 Avenida 4 - 84 Zona 14 Guatemala City. Double white gate on the right side, about 100 meters after the Meraki 14 building (to be placed on Uber). From here we walk and cycle about 15 minutes to reach the cycleway on Avenida Las Americas.
Plaza del Obelisco
1. OBELISCO SQUARE. The first stop on Avenida Las Américas is at the Plaza del Obelisco, where we will find a monument to the heroes of independence.

Non Existent Meet Up Point

1.00There were two meet up points listed on the booking: one was 17 Avenida 8-66, Cdad. de Guatemala 01014, Guatemala and the other was Starbucks Oakland Mall (according to the itinerary). Viator confirmed the pick up point to be 17 Avenida 8-66, Cdad. de Guatemala 01014, Guatemala. However when I got there, there was no one. “The start of the tour is at 17 Avenida Zona 14, directly opposite Antari 14. From here we leave with the bikes looking for the cycle path to start the tour.” is the description in the booking confirmation. I even walked to Antari 14, as shown on Google Maps, but it’s just an empty space. I’ve tried to ring the doorbell of 8-66 but no one has answered. Have contacted Viator on WhatsApp but no reply.

5.00Very nice bike tour of Guatemala City. José is a super guide who showed us a lot and gave us historical background on the various points. José has us supper received explained everything to us and took a lot of consideration for us during the trip. The tour itself takes you along cycle paths along various highlights and is very safe.

5.00Fun tour with a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Navigating to the tour starting point on a bike is through side streets and traffic so having reasonable biking skills to navigate is needed.
