  I had an amazing experience with Historical Tours of Grenada. My guide (Robert) was personable, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly very passionate about the island’s rich history. Every stop —from the monuments, to the markets, to the local haunts — felt thoughtfully chosen and brought Grenada to life in a vivid, engaging way. The pace was relaxed, the storytelling was captivating, and I walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the culture and people of Grenada. Highly recommend for anyone wanting more than just a sightseeing trip. This is the kind of tour — the kind of experience — that stays with you long after.

  During our just completed vacation at Sandals Grenada we took a minibus tour with Tony from Caribbean Tours. A bit late starting though not Tony’s or Caribbean’s. Tony more than made up and our congratulations to Caribbeantours for letting us have Tony. From his initial greeting as we boarded the bus Tony was the gentleman you would want in your corner. Knowledgeable about the Island’s history and current and past events we really received a civics lesson We learnt of the history of Grenada, the slave trade, agriculture, English Rule, the unfortunate effects of the 1984 invasion and the pride of Grenadians in the Veterinary and Medical Schools and the focus on Science after being made aware of the significance of the national flags. Along the way, Tony stropped at the best vantage points for photo ops and do we have some great shots. The Port, shopping downtown including the market place for spices, Parliament, cocoa and nutmeg production, Annandale waterfalls and an opportunity to dive were all places of interest. Police HQs, the prison and its history. A lot more but you get the idea. Tony and Caribbean tours for your best adventure.

  

  

  

  

  

• Tour of Grenada from the Sandals Resort

  Took an organized tour from Sandals Grenada with Tony from IslandTours. What an amazing, informative and Civics experience it turned out to be. I highly recommend TONY and IslandTours for your unforgettable time in this unique place known as the Spice Island. Don’t for a moment this of Grenada as a producer of Nutmeg. It is so much more. Thankfully it did not deteriorate much from Reagan’s misguided war effort to purge it from Maurice Bishop’s and Russia/Cuba’s grip in 1984. Ivan’s descent on the island did more damage although not as many people were killed as the disastrous 1984 war. Tony’s first stop was the international airport where he explained the color and symbols of the various flags. History, slavery, civics, immigration and current events all flowed effortlessly from his vast knowledge and indeed we were beneficiaries. There were many stops along vantage points for photo ops of historical places in the citY’s downtown area, with 45 minutes for shopping at he spice market, police headquarters, the cruise port, pier, crater area, a tour of parliament, Maurice Bishop’s and the Governor General’s residences and onto the cocoa factory and waterfall. One of the best local tour in years and Tony we thank you for the great experience.

  Please be aware that when you book this trip the price you pay is not so according to the guixe. I booked this trip in advance before gojng to Grenada. The day before i recieved my ticket. I arrived at the pjck up point and the guide fid not arrive until half an hour later. I haf to ask local to contact him for me. He informed me that he did not tecieve a confirmstion and tbat the price was incorrect. He wanted to chatge me treble the price offered on trip advisor. I am still waiting for my money back. So dont book with Future Tours.
