At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. Learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation. Of course, you can taste a perfectly served draft beer fresh from the tap in the cozy Carlsberg Bar, followed by a visit to our majestic brewing horses in the stable. End your visit by feeling the presence of of history in the lively brewery yard or enjoying the peaceful oasis in the sculpture garden.

Welcome to the Home of Carlsberg! At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. The exhibition unfolds the captivating story of Carlsberg and Carlsberg's founder, J.C. Jacobsen, and his son, Carl Jacobsen. A story about how disputes between father and son and widely differing perceptions of beer brewing have shaped Carlsberg. Through interactive games and videos in the exhibition, you will learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation and its importance for the development of beer worldwide. You will also experience one of the world's largest bottle collections, with more than 22,000 beer bottles. And that is just a fraction of what the exhibition contains.

5.00We spent over 3 hours on the tour, which was educational and professionally presented, as well as being fun with the interactive elements, and in my opinion, great value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history, processes, and science behind brewing. And the free beer at the end was a refreshing end to an excellent experience.

5.00The history & videos of the founders were really great & very interesting. The first half of the tour was really good, the branding was a little less interesting for us, although very informative in you are interested in that. The connection with Liverpool FC was great to see. Walking through the original brewery & learning about the lives of the workers was also really interesting. The interactive area was fun!! We spent 90 minutes in the exhibit & the received a free beer in the bar.
Even if Carlsberg isn’t your favourite tipple then still go.

5.00Really well thought through experience telling the history of Carlsberg. Interactive and entertaining. We left two hours to do the experience and could have taken longer, although other people seemed to go faster. Did the extra beer tasting session which was definitely worth it.

5.00Whilst its not close to the city, it is easily accessible using the metro and inexpensive. Its then a short walk although google maps will be your friend. Area is safe and you get to see neighbourhoods you would miss. Definitely book in advance, seamless process on arrival. I won't spoil any of it but 100% recommend especially if you like lager. Been to the Heineken brewery in Amsterdam Guiness Storehouse in Dublin and this was just as good

4.00Enjoyable visit with lots of history well told…loved the videos.. would have liked some more up to date stats & pictures of how they process it now… also there’s a lot of steps so it’s quite a long walk …the beer at the end was needed..

5.00We took the train to it’s destination, long uphill walk up pathway..we bought our tickets there and added the special tour tasting 3 of their special upgraded beer in the cellar…we enjoyed both experiences..
A very nice and educational visit, initially well-guided by hand, then a lot of freedom to see and try the activities.

1.00It was a disappointing experience where almost the entire tour was based on interactive options and pure AI/CGI video information. We were missing an authentic insight into Carlsberg's brewery from when they started, with a real experience where you could physically see what a brewery looked like back in time. On this tour there were only very few physical elements, where 90% of the experience was video based on AI or CGI and small short interactive options that did not provide any new knowledge. This was a huge disappointment where Carlsberg's DNA and Danish pride were completely absent. Unfortunately, I must say that this is in no way recommended. You can easily find more knowledge on the internet here.
