And you will walk through 7,000 years of history in Byblos — an ancient Phoenician city where the past is not behind glass in a museum but alive beneath your feet, in the stones of the streets, and in the fishermen still working the oldest harbour in the world.

Jeita Grotto
Nothing prepares you for Jeita. You walk into the mountain and the world changes — a vast limestone cathedral stretches overhead, its stalactites and stalagmites built over millions of years into shapes that seem almost deliberately beautiful. The upper cave is explored on foot along an elevated walkway, the scale growing more extraordinary with every step. Then the lower cave — where you board a silent electric boat and glide along an underground river through chambers of unearthly stillness, the only sound the drip of water in the dark. A finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO tentative World Heritage Site — Jeita earns every superlative written about it. ⏰ Visit duration: approx. 1.5 hours
