5.00Got to see all the major sites of Juneau, plus a black bear and a beautiful shot of the glacier. Our guide was wonderful, he knew all about Alaska and answered any questions and was able to point out animals left and right.
See the rest of Juneau! Great private tour!

5.00I made this tour for my family independent of the cruise line, and it was the best decision I made. Aleta was our tour guide, and she was personable, fun, and best of all, very knowledgeable. Don't just see what the standard tours offer--truly get a behind the scenes look at Juneau's fascinating history! And the trip is a "personalized" trip, with more time at the sites that interested our group, and less at others. Water and snacks also provided. I would highly recommend this tour for small groups. Our family loved it!

5.00This was the best tour we’ve taken anywhere in the world (and we’ve traveled a lot!) Our guide, Aleta, was a delight! She was very knowledgeable about the area - geography, peoples, plants, animals, major events, history and plans. She chose places for us to stop and get out that were not overrun by tourists and allowed photos without others in them. She was eager to please - stopping wherever we’d like and taking us to amazing places we would not have known about if not for her. If you take one tour in your life, it should be this — ask for Aleta and have the best time of your life!

4.00We had a group of eight ranging in age from 11 to 70, and everyone enjoyed the experience (with the possible exception of our 11-year-old, who decided the van was the perfect place for a nap). Ray was friendly, accommodating, and made sure we saw some beautiful scenery and viewpoints that we likely would have missed on our own. The smaller, private format was a nice change from larger tour groups and allowed us to move at a comfortable pace. One thing worth noting is that our group tends to be very curious, and we enjoy learning about the places we visit. We asked quite a few questions about the local environment, glaciers, wildlife, and geography. Ray was happy to answer what he could, but we were hoping for a deeper level of interpretation and local knowledge than was provided. That said, if your goal is a comfortable, scenic tour of Juneau with a personable guide and some fantastic views, this is a great option. We had a very enjoyable morning and were glad we booked it.

5.00This was the best tour!! Not too long and not too short. Just the perfect amount of time to leave us time to tour the town and go to Jelly Fish Donuts for a sweet treat. Family of 8 - from 8 years old to 67 years old. Aleta was out tour guide and she was amazing! From meeting us at the top of the pier, to water for all, a container of snacks and a first aid kit and extra binoculars, Aleta was prepared for anything and everything! The vehicle was clean and roomy and in excellent condition. We viewed the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier from vantage points were we didn't have any crowds. Visited the shrine of Saint Therese which I loved ( and I met a priest from home!!). we saw bears and lots of eagles. This was the perfect tour for our family. Aleta also stopped at the best spot for glacier viewing which had a little beach . Everyone enjoyed walking around, the little kids ran around and everyone skipped rocks across the water. Before we left, Aleta asked to take a family photo which made me so happy. Thank you Aleta and Juneau Private Tours for helping our family make beautiful Alaska memories!!

5.00Avoid the overpriced cruise ship cattle car tours. For less money, Aleta will provide a custom tour that fits your interests and level of activity. It’s like comparing basic economy to first class: there is no comparison! Highly recommend!

2.00Aleta was great. The tour was not what I expected. Recommends asking guest their preference. A lot of history would have liked more scenic and sightseeing. Did not got to douglas. St Therese was the major highlight.

5.00The four of us had a fantastic afternoon with Aleta as our guide in Juneau. We saw the city highlights, the Mendenhall glacier and a stop at the shrine. It was a very pleasant and informative afternoon!

5.00Our tour of Juneau with David was wonderful. My wife and I were able to see many sites you would never see on a group tour. We got to see some of his favorite places and had an opportunity to learn about him. We enjoyed learning more about Juneau and its history. David has a lot of local knowledge and was fun to tour with. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Juneau.

5.00We took the private tour of Juneau. Our guide was Al, she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and took us off the beaten path, which we all enjoyed! There were 6 of us and the vehicle she used fit us all very well. The only small issue was the people all the way in the back had a hard time hearing her at times. But we got see local neighborhoods along with all the tourist attractions. Well worth the money. Plus the restaurant she suggested, the Twisted Fish was very good!!
