Experience the thrill of a lifetime with our doors-off helicopter tour over breathtaking Kauai. On this exhilarating adventure, you will feel the wind in your hair and get unobstructed views from our specially designed helicopter with the doors removed and pilot controls on the left hand side.
Our knowledgeable and skilled pilots guide you through the island’s iconic landmarks, sharing insightful commentary along the way.
Safety is our top priority, and our doors-off helicopter tours adhere to the highest industry standards.
We fly a FULL 60-65 minute tour. You don’t want to settle for any less than 60 minutes, as this allows our pilots to take their time at each viewpoint and rotate the helicopter so all passengers have a great view regardless of seating arrangements.
We fly a MD500E aircraft, one of the safest and best helicopter makes in the world. Please know we fly a full tour with all seats sold. Maximum of 4 passengers per helicopter. Weight restrictions apply.

After checking in at our office and verifying weights you will be given a thorough safety briefing. You will then be transported to our hangar where you will board the aircraft and meet your pilot.
After taking off, your first scenic landmarks will be the Nawiliwili Harbor and historic Menehune Fishpond. This is a great time to test out the two way communication and chat with your pilot and introduce yourself.

5.00Other than the Napali boat tour, this is the “must do” tour when visiting Kauai! Beautiful scenery that cannot be seen any other way!! Our pilot/tour guide did an amazing job telling us about everything we were seeing! And the ground crew were awesome also!!

5.00Extremely professional, amazing experience, pictures don’t do it justice! A must do! Pilot Chrissy was extremely safe, checking in & providing us with lots of history & information over the island. Doors off was such a cool experience. Make sure to take a jacket like they advise you as it can be cool in some spots.

5.00Cold and windy, got much closer to the mountainside than a previous doors ON experience we had 3 days earlier. Crazy nice photos and video. Pilot did not introduce himself not ask about any of us. I actually did not see his face until a photograph of us outside the helicopter was taken.

5.00This has been a bucket list item for me ever since I first visited Hawaii in 2024 and the team at JH delivered! This is THE one thing everyone must do while in Kauai. Left me absolutely speechless and I would do it a thousand times more if I could. Don't overthink it, just book it!

3.00I was seated in directly behind the pilot and can say without doubt my experience was not as good as the two people in the front seat or even in the back on the passenger side. While everyone else was ooohing and aaaahing over everything the pilot/guide pointed out, I was either looking at the ocean or trying to see through the person on my right who was busy taking pictures. I guess someone had to get the worst seat and it happened to be me. This was both the most expensive excursion we booked and what I was most looking forward to. What a disappointment! This seat should definitely be offered at a discounted price to match the subpar views and experience. Otherwise, the process, experience, and pilot all were good. I don’t know how someone booking could make sure they got a better seat, but if I would have known I would get the short end of the stick, I would have saved my money for something more worthwhile.

5.00The helicopter ride with Jack Harter Co. is an amazing experience for anyone wanting to see any of the Hawaiian islands. My wife and I started with an evening boat tour a couple of days prior and that was a great bottom up look. The helicopter ride does the opposite and gives you an even fuller perspective of the beautiful terrain of Kauai. Our pilot Nick was wonderful at providing his almost 20 years of experience flying helicopters in Hawaii through his calm handling of the aircraft, his calm demeanor and his acquired knowledge of the history of the island. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is pricey in today’s market but if you have to pool money together for one truly memorable experience on Kauai or any of the islands, do so for this excursion. You will never forget or regret it!
