The Upper Mreznica Canyon is a truly wild and beautiful gem, away from the tourist crowds of Zagreb and Plitvice.
The river forms travertine barriers, so that we have 15 waterfalls on just 3km of river. The highest fall is 8m high - you can jump down into it or walk around. The river creates pools of warm water between the falls, which make for perfect refreshment, and for some easy paddling to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Kayaking is the best way to enjoy this stunning spot of nature, because it combines easy floating down the river with some fun - riding down the waterfalls. Even if you have never done it, believe us, it‘s fantastic and your guide will keep you safe!
Because the water is calm between the falls, and we don't have long sections of paddling, this trip is suitable for almost everyone - children from 6 y.o. up to seniors. On the waterfalls, your guide directs each boat individually, to make sure you get down in a fun and safe way.

Enjoy this wild canyon full of amazing waterfalls, the highest 8m! The river creates pools of warm water between the falls, which make for perfect refreshment. You can even do some canyoning - riding waterslides and jumping down the falls. MOST BEAUTIFUL RIVER IN THIS PART OF CROATIA - 1.5h FROM ZAGREB - 30min FROM PLITVICE LAKES - BEGINNERS CAN PARTICIPATE - CHILDREN FROM 6.y.o. ARE WELCOME When you arrive, you will receive safety gear (and neoprene suits, if necessary), and paddling instructions. Then we will drive you to the start. We will pass waterfalls sometimes on natural waterslides, sometimes by jumping into the lower pool or walking around the cascade, but most of them we can ride down in our kayaks. There are 15 travertine waterfalls on our way. The beginning and the end of the tour are full of action, while the middle section give us some peaceful paddling to enjoy the surroundings. The wild and amazing nature around the river, its waterfalls and differently-coloured pools make kayaking on Mreznica River a most interesting and intensive experience. After getting to the finish, we quickly drive you back to the base, where you can change into dry clothes.

5.00He explained everything very well Usually you think kayaking is kinda relaxed but it was very adventures and familyfriendly! It was so much fun and the scenery was beautiful I would defenetily do it again! Such a fun day!

5.00An excellent day with Denis & team kayaking on the Mzrenica river! The scenery is absolutely stunning. We were a little nervous about going down the small waterfalls but the team helps you navigate them expertly. We did it with an 8 year old so the trip is fine for younger children. We also appreciated the small group size, we were only 8 guests plus 2 crew. It made for a great atmosphere. Some tours are much bigger groups.

5.00Our family of 4 had a blast! It was our kids (7 and 10) first time rafting and Denis did a great job with instructions beforehand, and checking on them throughout the trip. the added fun of sliding into the water on the back of the raft, jumping off cliffs, and paddling under a waterfall made for an incredibly memorable day. Highly recommend!

5.00The kayaking adventure was amazing. It exceeded all expectations thanks to the gorgeous views and excellent guide, Denis. He was great at guiding us through some waterfalls and drops and allowed us to do it on our own when possible. He took pictures and videos throughout the trip on his waterproof camera so we could leave our phones behind. The flat parts of the river are just as beautiful. We saw lots of fish and turtles on our route. The cliff jumping was also a highlight of the trip.

5.00The trip was awesome. Great mix of going over small water falls, drops and rapids. The tandem kayaks were comfortable. Denis was an excellent guide. He was constantly paying attention to our group and helping us through the drops/waterfalls when needed and letting us do it on our own when we could. The scenery is a must see! We drove all the way from Split (3hrs) for this excursion and we are so happy we did!! Great for couples and families.

5.00Beautiful tour with exciting elements in a beautiful landscape. The teenagers liked it, too. Some sections were a bit boring because we had to wait a long time before we could continue. But safety comes first!
