Starting near Kilkenny Castle, you’ll walk through the Medieval Mile to places like St. Canice’s Cathedral while hearing the stories that shaped the city — invasions, merchants, crime, politics, and everyday life.

5.00Very informative and enjoyable two hour tour with John. John clearly knows the history of Kilkenny from medieval to current times. We leant about present day hurling rivalry, the many bridges and memorials, statues and churches as well as Kilkenny characters that make the city a colourful one.

5.00A very nice small group tour. John took us to places that don’t show up in the must see list of typical YouTube influencers, but tell you about the real city. He took us to a few of the big ticket stops, but also to a few of the small stops like a historic high school, the library, and the WW1 memorial. The small group size also meant that we could talk with John about living in Kilkenny and Ireland while walking between stops.
