  We enjoyed 2 days of the guide tour with Wilai . She speaks perfect Dutch and that makes all this very pleasant. We visited a lot with her and she always picked us up at our hotel. Wilai is a very sweet woman and top guide!

  

• Outstanding 2-Day Chiang Mai Tour with an Incredible Guide

  We just recently finished a 2 day tour of Chiang Mai and the surrounding area with Wilai and it was nothing short of amazing. Her knowledge of the history and culture of both Chiang Mai and Thailand in general was remarkable. The first day we went to the famous Doi Suthep temple and learned about the history and significance of the temple. In the afternoon she took us through the local fish, vegetable, and candy markets and treated us to some of the foods. It was incredible and we would have never even known about these markets without her showing us around. The next day she took us to one of the premier elephant sanctuaries where we were able to get up close, feed and bathe them. You can tell that the animals were all well treated. In the afternoon we visited Wat Ban Den, one of the newer Buddhist temple complexes on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. It was an absolute gem that most tourists are unaware of. We practically were the only ones there! We then finished off with a lunch at one of the local restaurants that was cooked by a woman who could have been my grandma. She prepared the most amazing pad Thai , fried pork and Khao soi and was thrilled we enjoyed her cooking. It was such an amazing 2 days touring with the family. Wilai and our driver Diana were absolutely wonderful. Not only did they tour us around, they were so hospitable and constantly bought us local snacks along the way. Don’t hesitate to book her.   What an amazing day! Wilai was so helpful. Great conversation before trip even began to discuss what we could fit in for our day. Met is inside the airport with such a friendly and calm demeanor we instantly knew our day would be great. Wilai shared interesting conversation while driving, answered our questions along the way, and got us the hiking trips we wanted. She was so thoughtful and accommodating and gave us excellent recommendations for further places to see in our trip. A lovely kind gentle human to help our trip be an amazing experience. We learned so much more than doing the day on our own ( which is usually what we do). We have a greater appreciation for the culture and history because of Wilai. There were two of us and the vehicle was roomy. Would 100% reach out to Wilai for future visits.

  If you're looking for an unforgettable and stress-free tour of Doi Inthanon National Park, look no further than Wilai. We were incredibly fortunate to have her as both our driver and tour guide, and she truly made our day perfect from start to finish. As a driver, Wilai was exceptional. The winding mountain roads can be a bit intimidating, but we felt completely safe and comfortable with her expert driving skills. She navigated every turn with confidence, allowing us to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. As a guide, her knowledge of the park was truly impressive. Wilai’s passion for her culture and the natural beauty of the area was contagious. She was also warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, always happy to answer our questions and tailor the experience to our interests.   Wilai she was wonderful guide full of knowledge with a vast experience and knowledge of Chiang Mai. She was one of the highlights of the trip. For a Family it's perfect to have a female tour guide / driver.

  Wilai was an amazing tour guide. She was very informative, friendly and so knowledgeable! She had very memorable anecdotes for each beautiful temple as well as other places we visited like a Hmong village and the night market!

  Wilai was an incredible guide on our day in Chiang Mai. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, but she was also incredibly personable and was a joy to be with. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and Wilai was pivotal in making our stay in Chiang Mai even more pleasurable.

  My wife and I booked 4-days out of 10-days with “Thai Basic Stay” that we had spent in Chiang Mai. Wilai, the owner, is a good person to work with, very patient and understanding. She helped us develop our own tours that met our schedule. Our guide was Allie and our driver Mr. Bond, nicked-named Mr. James Bond 007. Mr. Bond is very professional, safe, and an excellent driver. Allie very knowledgeable on every place we went. Our tour took us outside the city of Chiang Mai including Chiang Rai and the elephant hospital, a must. Both Allie and Mr. Bond have a good sense of humor, wonderful to be with, as we all felt like we were family. Allie and Mr. Bond helped make our trip to Chiang Mai very memorable. We highly recommend “Thai Basic Stay” especially Allie and Mr. Bond as your guide and driver.
